Gardasil will be the Biggest Scandal in Medical History

Gardasil will be the Biggest Scandal in Medical History
Af admin den,  14/04/2014
Former Merck doctor predicts that Gardasil will be the biggest scandal in medical history.
The former Merck doctor, French Dr. Bernard Dalbergue, was interviewed for the magazine Principe de Santé (Health Principles) in April this year, and in that interview he talks about his experiences in the pharmaceutical industry. After some tough years as a doctor in a hospital, Dr. Bernard Dalbergue quickly became seduced by the convenience of work in the pharmaceutical industry. Less yelling, pain and death. The latest fashion, fancy cars, money and embezzlement became part of his new life instead. Right up until his conscience, after 20 years in the pharmaceutical laboratories, woke him up and he wrote all his experiences in a book.

Le Gardasil sera le plus grand scandale de tous les temps

In the interview Dr. Bernard Dalbergue talks about his surprise at how Marcia Angell, former head of the respected New England Journal of Medicine, left her job because she believed that the pharmaceutical industry manipulated the clinical research and controlled all the information that got to public attention. She, like many others, claimed that scientific studies that on the surface was described as objective and independent, was actually written by the pharmaceutical industry.

In the interview he also explains that each year between 18,000-30,000 die in France directly as a result of adverse reactions to pharmaceutical products and the figure for the whole of the EU is about 200,000. He explains that there are no clinical studies that will document the safety of a product, like Merck is trying to tell people in the case of Gardasil, it is only after millions of doses have been distributed that you will see how dangerous a product is. Therefore, he says without hesitation: "Gardasil will be the biggest scandal in medical history," and he adds: "The full extent of the Gardasil scandal needs to be assessed. Everyone knew when this vaccine was released on the American market that it would prove to be worthless. Diane Harper, a major opinion leader in the United States, was one of the first to blow the whistle, pointing out the fraud and scam of it all."

Dr. Bernard Dalbergue mentions another example of how the pharmaceutical industry has deceived the public; Mercks anti-inflammatory product, Vioxx, proved to have serious side effects, including cardiac arrest, and Merck used a lot of effort to conceal the more than 30,000 deaths due to side effects. Immediately thereafter, they started to develop a similar new product, called Arcoxia, where they just changed a few molecules, and while people still died from Vioxx, which at the time had been revoked, doctors began to prescribe the new and equally dangerous product. "Arcoxia is now being prescribed and approved, but it is extremely dangerous. It's the same with Gardasil; it is useless and costs a fortune. In addition, decision makers at all levels are aware of it." He recognizes that all vaccines have side effects, that all vaccines can cause guillain-barre syndrome, paralysis, mutiple sclerosis and acute disseminated encephalomyelitis, but when it comes to saving millions from smallpox and polio then it is a different matter: "I predict that Gardasil will become the greatest medical scandal of all times because at some point in time, the evidence will add up to prove that this vaccine, technical and scientific feat that it may be, has absolutely no effect on cervical cancer and that all the very many adverse effects which destroy lives and even kill, serve no other purpose than to generate profit for the manufacturers." On the question of why Gardasil is not just withdrawn from the market, the answer is short: "There is far too much financial interest for these medicines to be withdrawn."

Towards the end of the interview, Dr. Bernard Dalbergue draws a parallel between the pharmaceutical industry and the system we have built, to the political system in China: "In China, opponents are executed with a single shot of a bullet to the neck and executions are broadcast on television. Worse still, the victim's families are made to pay for the bullet used. In my opinion, these 18,000 to 30,000 deaths by medicines are exactly the same - the patients are made to pay for the bullet which kills them."

The story about Dr. Bernard Dalbergue has also been published in
Le Monde and the article can be read via the link below.

Fukushima: Radioactive Cesium Levels jump 9,000 Percent in just Three Days

Wednesday, July 24, 2013 by: Jonathan Benson, staff writer

(NaturalNews) Some of the highest levels of ionizing radiation yet detected since the disaster first occurred were recently recorded at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power facility in Japan, according to shocking new reports. The Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO), which runs the crippled nuclear plant, says levels of radioactive cesium in a water well were 9,000 percent higher on July 8, 2013, than they were three days earlier, and nobody knows why this is the case.

The Asahi Shimbun reports that TEPCO observed the spike after testing water in a well on the seaward side of Fukushima's No. 2 reactor. According to readings taken, radioactive cesium levels registered at an astounding 27,000 becquerels per liter (Bq/l), which is the highest ever since March 11, 2011, when the tsunami and earthquake first struck the plant. At this point, the cause of the spike is still unknown.
"It is unclear whether the radioactive water is leaking into the sea," said a TEPCO official, following the discovery. "After gathering needed data, we will conduct analyses."
As you may recall, radioactive water from the No. 2 well was found to have been leaking about a month after the disaster struck in April 2011. At that time, about 9,000 Bq/l of cesium-134 and 18,000 Bq/l of cesium-137 were detected in water samples. These amounts are 150 and 200 times higher, respectively, than the maximum level legally permitted.

At the same time, levels of other harmful forms of radiation, including strontium, have remained oddly consistent, which has many officials scratching their heads. According to the most recent data, radioactive strontium levels remained mostly steady around 890,000 Bq/l both before and after the cesium spike.

"We do not know why only cesium levels have risen," added the TEPCO official.
Radioactive tritium levels are also spiking dramatically, say officials
Besides cesium, radioactive tritium has also been detected in significantly higher amounts near the No. 2 well. According to
The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), tritium levels in groundwater near the reactor have jumped 17-fold since December, and are continuing to rise with each passing day. Since May, tritium levels have increased a staggering 20 percent.
"[T]he tritium level that TEPCO measured on July 5 in one of its coastal monitoring wells near reactor No. 2 is ten times above Japan's safety standard of 60,000 becquerels per liter, and rising," writes Phred Dvorak for the WSJ. "That's the highest such level the company has recorded since the incident."

What this all suggests, of course, is that the Fukushima disaster is far from over, and may only be in the early stages of unleashing massive environmental destruction. Despite the fact that more than two years have passed since the disaster's onset, the situation appears to be intensifying with no end in sight, which could lead to much more serious problems in the future.

Meanwhile, as much as 93 billion becquerels of radioactive substances are believed to still be pouring into the Pacific Ocean every single day as a result of the Fukushima disaster. Reports from back in March indicate that, since the disaster, a total of 16.1 trillion becquerels of just cesium-137 are believed to have leaked into seawater.
"Once again, TEPCO release the bad news in a drip, drip, drip mode," wrote one commentator on an report on the issue. "These destroyed nuclear reactors are going to pop and sputter for thousands of years to come. Changes in the configuration of residual melted fuel remaining in and around the plants will create ongoing criticalities, with changing cooling water and groundwater flows."

Its Close - Mandatory Vaccination in Australia

Its Close - Mandatory Vaccination in Australia

Here is an article from the NSW Nurses and Midwives Association NNMA titled 'Nurses fired for refusing a vaccine'

This article states that nurses in the USA have been fired for refusing vaccines and nurses in Australia have been threatened with removal from their clinical situations (the jobs they trained for) if they refuse a vaccine. This policy has been implemented in all states of Australia despite the Australian Human Rights Commission informing the public on 22nd April 2013:

"...there is nothing in any of these (Health) Acts or in regulations or legislative instruments under them, which compels a person to accept administration of the vaccines provided."

All State public health regulations are coercing new employees in clinical situations to accept vaccines with the threat that they will be moved to a non-clinical position if they do not accept the vaccines. This is resulting in court cases and students in universities and TAFE who are changing their courses to avoid the vaccines. This situation also applies to the influenza vaccine even though the Prescribing Information for CSL's Fluvax (Afluria/Enzira) vaccine states "...there have been no controlled clinical studies demonstrating a decrease in influenza disease after vaccination with Afluria (Fluvax)."

What proof is being provided by the government that this policy of mandatory vaccinations in occupational settings is necessary?

Did you know that even very low levels of exposure to mercury and other toxins have been demonstrated to harm the nervous system? (Gilbert 2004, The Principles of Toxicology). Did you know that all through the nineties childhood vaccines contained trace amounts of mercury and when this is combined with the 'trace' amounts of aluminium from vaccine adjuvants the toxicity is many times increased - particularly in infants and children (Gilbert 2004).

Yet the government is trying to convince the public that a 'trace' amount of Thiomersal (mercury compound) combined with a 'trace' amount of Aluminium hydroxide, Aluminium phosphate, Borax, Egg Protein, Formaldehyde, Gelatin, Gentamicin (antibiotic), Kanamycin (antibiotic), Monosodium Glutamate (MSG), Neomycin (Antibiotic), Phenol, Phenoxyethanol, Polymyxin (antibiotic) and Yeast - injected into the tissues of developing infants cannot cause autism.

It is easy to be convinced that vaccines are not a cause of autism if you are not informed of the ingredients. Parents should be outraged that they are not openly informed about the ingredients of vaccines.

Vaccines have been a known cause of autoimmune diseases since the 60's and these chronic illnesses (including autism) have increased with the use of vaccines in the population. I hope that you will comment on this article in the NNMA and protect the right of healthy people to maintain choice in the use of drugs such as vaccines.

Nurses Fired for refusing Flu Vaccine
Posted on February 28, 2013 by

It's the last day of summer, which means the autumn flu season looms ahead of us. It was a particularly bad flu season in the US, officially reaching
epidemic levels in January. Also in January, several nurses there were fired for refusing to have the flu vaccine, which their employers had made mandatory in the light of the severity of the epidemic.

At least 15 nurses were fired, while in the small state of Rhode Island more than
1000 workers signed a petition against making the vaccine compulsory. There's also a Facebook page called People Against Mandatory Flu Shots for Healthcare Workers. There have been previous legal cases in the US on behalf of nurses trying to stop compulsory flu vaccination - some of which have succeeded.

Cancer, Simian Virus 40 (SV40), and Polio Vaccine Fact Sheet

Google Now Deleting Cached Pages of Controversial Facts From CDC Website <>

Criticism of Google has widely been known for misuse and manipulation of search results including censorship of information and content, but wiping out the google cache of controversial pages takes it to another level. It's no longer safe to post any link from google cache thinking it will be there at anytime in the future. I've never seen this happen, but because NaturalNews reported on my article sourcing realfarmacy which contained my original report on PreventDisease, Google has wiped out the cache link stored on their servers regarding how the CDC Admitted that 98 million Americans received polio vaccine in an 8 Year span when it was contaminated with a cancer virus.

I've since updated the article, but encourage all those who re-posted the article including Realfarmacy and NaturalNews to please refresh your links as well to bypass yet another attempt to censor critical information on the internet.

Thanks to all the web traffic, it looks the flood of user requests on this cached page flagged Google's proficient censorship team who jumped on the opportunity to delete the page to prevent further views.
Google employs web caches to store billions of web pages and images to reduce the amount of information that needs to be transmitted across their network, as information previously stored in the cache can often be re-used. It also serves as an archive tool to track web pages that have been deleted. The way back machine ( ) is another archive tool with similar technology.

The top paragraph of this article used to read:
"The CDC has quickly removed a page from their website, which is now cached here, admitting that more than 98 million Americans received one or more doses of polio vaccine within an 8-year span from 1955-1963 when a proportion of the vaccine was contaminated with a cancer causing polyomavirus called SV40. It has been estimated that 10-30 million Americans could have received an SV40 contaminated dose of the vaccine."

If you click on the cached here link above, the cached information has now been removed and a 404 error now pops up. So not only did the CDC remove their own page, but Google then subsequently removed the recorded cache of that page... hmmm.

Cancer, Simian Virus 40 (SV40), and Polio Vaccine Fact Sheet

* SV40 is a virus found in some species of monkey.
* SV40 was discovered in 1960. Soon afterward, the virus was found in polio vaccine.
* More than 98 million Americans received one or more doses of polio vaccine from 1955 to 1963 when a proportion of vaccine was contaminated with SV40; it has been estimated that 10-30 million Americans could have received an SV40 contaminated dose of vaccine.
* SV40 virus has been found in certain types of cancer in humans, but it has not been determined that SV40 causes these cancers.
* The majority of scientific evidence suggests that SV40-contaminated vaccine did not cause cancer; however, some research results are conflicting and more studies are needed.
* Polio vaccines being used today do not contain SV40. All of the current evidence indicates that polio vaccines have been free of SV40 since 1963.

Additional Facts
* In the 1950s, rhesus monkey kidney cells, which contain SV40 if the animal is infected, were used in preparing polio vaccines. Because SV40 was not discovered until 1960, no one was aware in the 1950s that polio vaccine could be contaminated.
* SV40 was found in the injected form of the polio vaccine (IPV), not the kind given by mouth (OPV).
* Not all doses of IPV were contaminated. It has been estimated that 10-30 million people actually received a vaccine that contained SV40.
* Some evidence suggests that receipt of SV40-contaminated polio vaccine may increase risk of cancer. However, the majority of studies done in the U.S. and Europe which compare persons who received SV40-contaminated polio vaccine with those who did not have shown no causal relationship between receipt of SV40-contaminated polio vaccine and cancer.

Russian Scientist - New Little Ice Age Very Near

by ROBERT on NOVEMBER 13, 2012

Forecasting a temperature drop in approximately 2014
Dr Habibullo Abdussamatov, head of space research at Pulkovo Astronomical Observatory in St. Petersburg, Russia, is suggesting the next Grand Minimum in this paper: Bicentennial Decrease of the Total Solar Irradiance Leads to Unbalanced Thermal Budget of the Earth.

"From early 90s we observe bicentennial decrease in both the TSI and the portion of its energy absorbed by the Earth," says Abdussamatov. "The Earth as a planet will henceforward have negative balance in the energy budget which will result in the temperature drop in approximately 2014."

By the way, this is not just "any" scientist.

In addition to his work as head of Space Research of the Sun Sector at the Pulkovo Observatory of the Russian Academy of Sciences, astrophysicist Dr Habibullo Abdussamatov is also head of the Russian segment of the International Space Station.

As Robert and others have pointed out, even a Little Ice Age (LIA) will produce massive food shortages. The rural populations of the northern countries will lose their livelihoods because food production will plunge - partly because of cooler growing seasons but mostly because of crop destruction by the wild weather which accompanies a LIA. Doubtless they will initially migrate to their local towns and cities, but eventually they will need to head south because the urban population will not be able to feed them. Food shortages mean MUCH higher prices. The global economy is pants, and will only get worse in a LIA. Eventually the urban masses will be going hungry as well as cold - no money for food or fuel. They will see their only hope as migration south for food and warmth. You don't need glaciation for this scenario - just a few bad harvests and the odd cold winter. Don't be fooled into thinking that a LIA will not be bad just because there won't be mass glaciation. Most wholesale food prices have already risen by 25% to 75% with the last few years of poor weather. When people cannot grow their own food (bad weather, don't have land), and can afford neither food nor heat, they will move.

Modern technology has not been around to measure a climate swap, with regards to northern hemi freeze. So, a more southern latitude may switch to a savanna or desert itself not suitable to grow enough grain or staple of mans existence? The Mayans demise is said to have been crop failure, I read and watch African countries in warm latitudes struggling starving, waring over food now! So, we lose Canadas or Ukraines grain belt, India. They will be bulldozing bodies into mass graves, last comment just an opinion.

80 percent of Australia is desert now,its warm but that in itself does not guarantee food security, good soil, grain belt or any change in future climate for the better. Canadian inuits in the north do not starve with millions of seals ready for the taking, its not bout grain either.

Orange Light UFO reports cross U.S. in Waves

The orange light phenomena continues across U.S. skies with strong waves of cases hitting
UFO reporting centers, according to data collected by National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) Director Peter Davenport. Davenport reported that there was a sharp increase in orange light reports on November 10 and 11, 2012. Then another spike appeared to be occurring November 17.

We previously reported that these reports were on the increase in:
National reports of 'fireball objects' on the increase over past year.

A series of reports were filed with NUFORC over a 172 minute period November 17, 2012, between 5 p.m. and 7:52 p.m. Data for the evening is not complete, but here is edited witness testimony for the cases reported so far.

5 p.m., Jersey City, NJ
"We were looking out of the kitchen window towards the south, kind of out over Newark airport," the reporting witness stated. "We saw three orange glows in the sky. At first, I thought it must be the sun or moon, but they were clearly distinct shapes and they were moving kind of toward the left and downward until they finally disappeared behind the houses in the distance. I would say they were not some kind of optical illusion, nor did they appear to be some kind of reflection caused by the sun. They were definitely not airplanes."

5:45 p.m., Santa Cruz, CA
"Three circular objects were moving slowly across the sky together, red/orange in color without flashing, no noise, under high clouds. Individually they faded out. I went inside and then out a minute later and there was one moving across the sky toward the east moving northward. It flickered a bit and then faded out completely."

6:10 p.m., Rochester, NH
"(Late 50s married couple walking dog after dinner.) A reddish, flaming object moving toward us in the night sky, appearing/feeling like a hot air balloon, but moving horizontally too fast," the reporting witness stated. "Might have been something above the flame, wavering. Seemed to be rising as it moved from south/southwest to north/northeast passing by us slightly to the west. It faded into the distance, perhaps two minutes from coming into view until it disappeared to the North. Several minutes later as we approached other pedestrians (three young men) we asked if they had seen it. 'No.' Pointing up to where it had come from, we saw another one roughly the same path. They all saw it. In the next 5-10 minutes we all saw a pair traveling fairly close together, with one passing the other, and then three more individual 'flames' on the same route."

6:30 p.m., Stafford, VA
"We saw about 10 bright, orange lights in the sky," the reporting witness stated. "They started out just above the tree line continuing up directly above. They seemed to be square and in a geometric pattern. After pulling over in a parking lot we noticed that they seemed to be moving slowly all at the same speed. They were not blinking and remained the entire duration (about 3-5 minutes) of the sighting and they made no sound. Some clumped together and they one by one disappeared. There were no clouds in the sky and after contacting the federal aviation agency there was clarity of 10 miles. They were moving from northwest to southwest and the wind was moving in the opposite direction."

6:33 p.m., Stafford, VA
"There were roughly eight to 10 very bright, luminous orange balls of light in the sky," the witness stated. "Traveling at a constant and steady speed, many of them broke off into groups and continued to travel in separate directions until just disappearing without a trace. For a brief moment, they appeared stationary, but as they became more visible it was obvious that they were traveling at a considerable speed. Way faster than a helicopter, but it made absolutely no sound. It was clearly in sight and would have made sound if it were a familiar object but remained silent and clearly visible until disappearing one by one. Some appeared to be very close to each other, almost touching but moved uniformly and at a steady speed. Appearing in different groups and formation, the bright orange lights stretched across the sky traveling some in the same direction and some in different directions all traveling from the northeast. All of them gradually disappeared heading southwest. Checked the local weather immediately after and visibility was 10 miles, 46 degrees, wind northeast 4 mph (ground level)."

6:45 p.m., Springfield, MO
"I was in my front yard when I saw what I thought was a skyrocket," the witness stated. "It was bright red, like police lights but not flashing. I watched it going up waiting for it to explode. It stopped dead still for about five seconds and then took off at a very high rate of speed and stopped abruptly for a split second, then changed direction and flew slowly out of sight."

7:13 p.m., Cedarburg, WI
"We saw eight evenly spaced fireball-like objects, traveling at an absolutely even pace," the reporting witness stated. "A group of three gathered at the 'end point' of where we saw them, and vanished. They were all identical. Red, orange, sphere-like 'torch end' in appearance, and after the first three to four, we could actually count when the next one would appear. And then they stopped. They seemed to be going slow, and appeared to be in 'our' atmosphere, not high in the sky, and totally silent. We are husband and wife. We were in two different rooms, doing separate activities. Wife got up and went outside for no apparent reason, called husband after counting the first five, and he witnessed the last three."

7:52 p.m., Polson, MT
"Seven craft, light orange glow ball that formed a triangle for a few minutes, then rose up one at a time and disappeared," the witness stated. "A few minutes later one more appeared for approximately two minutes, then rose up to the north and disappeared. At first it looked like a large group of helicopters coming in several thousand feet over the Mission Mountain range, apron 8,000 feet. Then they sat for a bit, then rose up to the north. Four of the lights formed a triangle. The other three were in a row. They looked spaced a bit like stars, example the Big Dipper - could have been? But have never seen anything like this before. In this part of Montana you don't see too many aircraft."

The Latest Weapon in the War on Cancer: Honey Bees

November 24, 2012
By Dr. Mercola

Propolis, the "caulk" honeybees use to patch holes in their hives, has been used as a natural remedy since ancient times, treating ills ranging from sore throats and burns to allergies.
New research has revealed another exciting use for this seemingly miraculous substance, this time in the fight against cancer.

Propolis Slows Tumor Growth
Propolis has a number of well-known therapeutic properties, including potent antioxidant and anti-microbial action, and healing, analgesic, anesthetic, and anti-inflammatory properties. In the hive, bees use it as a disinfectant against bacteria and viruses, helping to seal cracks and "embalm" invaders that are too large to carry out.

It's been used for thousands of years in folk medicine, but despite its plethora of active components, research on this compound, and therefore its modern medical uses, is limited.
Researchers from the University of Chicago Medical Center, intrigued by propolis' anti-cancer potential, decided to look at one of its bioactive components, caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE), and its impact on human prostate cancer cells.

In cells grown in a lab, even small doses of CAPE slowed the growth of tumor cells. And when low oral doses were given to mice with prostate tumors, tumor growth slowed by 50 percent! What's more, feeding CAPE to mice daily caused the tumors to stop growing, although they returned when the CAPE was removed from their diets.

This suggests the propolis compound works by impacting signaling networks that control cancerous cell growth, rather than by killing the cells directly. However, there are at least four studies on propolis' apoptotic properties, indicating that technically it is capable of directly killing cancer cells, including prostate cancer, melanom

This suggests the propolis compound works by impacting signaling networks that control cancerous cell growth, rather than by killing the cells directly. However, there are at least four studies on propolis' apoptotic properties, indicating that technically it is capable of directly killing cancer cells, including prostate cancer, melanoma and more, as well.1

This is not the first time propolis has shown promise in treating cancer. In 2009, propolis was found to suppress the growth of neurofibromatosis-associated tumors (tumors on nerve tissue) by blocking PAK1 signaling. Researchers noted:2

"Since more than 70% of human cancers such as breast and prostate cancers require the kinase PAK1 for their growth, it is quite possible that GPE [green propolis extract] could be potentially useful for the treatment of these cancers, as is Bio 30 [a CAPE-based propolis extract]."

Propolis Has Powerful Immune-Modulating, Anti-Inflammatory Properties
What makes natural compounds so exciting, and often so powerful, is that they don't simply exhibit one therapeutic action the way, say, most drugs work. Instead, they contain numerous bioactive components that may exert dozens of beneficial actions within your body. This appears to be the case with propolis, which has been found to play a role in over 80 conditions, including:3

Radiation damage
Ear infections
Respiratory tract infections
Oxidative stress
Staph infection

Writing in Clinical Reviews in Allergy and Immunology, researchers expanded on some of propolis' potential effects:4
"Propolis, a waxy substance produced by the honeybee, has been adopted as a form of folk medicine since ancient times. It has a wide spectrum of alleged applications including potential anti-infection and anticancer effects. Many of the therapeutic effects can be attributed to its immunomodulatory functions. The composition of propolis can vary according to the geographic locations from where the bees obtained the ingredients.

Two main immunopotent chemicals have been identified as caffeic acid phenethyl ester (CAPE) and artepillin C. Propolis, CAPE, and artepillin C have been shown to exert summative immunosuppressive function on T lymphocyte subsets but paradoxically activate macrophage function.
On the other hand, they also have potential antitumor properties by different postulated mechanisms such as suppressing cancer cells proliferation via its anti-inflammatory effects; decreasing the cancer stem cell populations; blocking specific oncogene signaling pathways; exerting antiangiogenic effects; and modulating the tumor microenvironment.

The good bioavailability by the oral route and good historical safety profile makes propolis an ideal adjuvant agent for future immunomodulatory or anticancer regimens."
Protein Intake Also Crucial for Cancers
Earlier this month I interviewed Dr. Ron Rosedale for several hours. He is one of the first physicians in the U.S. that started measuring leptin levels clinically and was far ahead of the curve on this one. In our interview, he helped me understand the major importance that excessive protein intake can have on cancer growth.

The mTOR pathway is short for mammalian target of rapamycin. This pathway is ancient but relatively recently appreciated and has only been known for less than 20 years. Odds are very high your doctor was never taught this is medical school and isn't even aware of it. Many new cancer drugs are actually being targeted to use this pathway. Drugs using this pathway have also been given to animals to radically extend their lifespan. But you don't have to use drugs to get this pathway to work for you.

You can biohack your body and merely restrict your protein intake and replace the decreased protein with healthy fats as this will provide virtually identical benefits as these dangerous and expensive drugs.
Eating excessive protein can be an additional synergistically powerful mechanism. Dr. Rosedale believes that when you consume protein in levels higher than one gram of protein per kilogram of LEAN body mass you can activate the mTOR pathway, which will radically increase your risk of cancers. It is very easy to consume excess protein and my guess is that most people reading this are. I know I was, and as a result of this new insight I have reduced my protein intake by about half.

To determine your lean body mass find out your percent body fat and subtract from 100. So if you are 20% body fat you would have 80% lean body mass. Just multiply that times your current weight to get lean body mass. For most people this means restricting protein intake from 35 to 75 grams. Pregnant women and those working out extensively need about 25% more protein though.

Of course when you reduce protein you need to replace it with other calories, so the key is to replace the lost calories with high-quality fats such as avocados, butter, coconut oil, olives, olive oil, nuts and eggs. It is also very helpful to avoid eating anything for three hours before going to bed as this allows you to have relatively low blood sugars while you are sleeping. This is another good trick to move your body to fat burning mode.

Nearly everyone is primarily in carb burning mode because of the amount of carbohydrate content that they consume. The beauty of shifting over to fat burning mode is that it virtually eliminates hunger. Intermittent fasting is one way to help achieve this, but radically cutting back on non-vegetable carbs is also very important. Coconut oil is particularly useful to use in making the transition to fat burning mode as it is primarily short and medium chain fats which break down very quickly and can be used as an energy source which is important for countering the decreased energy and other physical challenges that many encounter in the several weeks it typically takes to make the transition to fat burning mode.
Other Natural Remedies Also Show Cancer Promise
One of the reasons why conventional cancer treatment is such a dismal failure in the United States is because it relies on chemotherapy. Chemotherapy drugs are, by their very nature, extremely toxic and typically work against your body's natural ability to fight cancer, e.g. destroying host immunity instead of supporting it.

One of the biggest drawbacks to chemotherapy is the fact that it destroys healthy cells throughout your body right along with cancer cells, a "side effect" that often leads to accelerated death, not healing.
Another devastating side effect of chemotherapy is the way it actually supports the more chemo-resistant and malignant cell subpopulations within tumors (e.g. cancer stem cells), both killing the more benign cells and/or quiescent cells within the tumor that keep it slow-growing, or even harmless.
As a result, this unleashes a more aggressive, treatment-resistant type of cancer to wreak havoc on your body.

Like propolis, a handful of natural compounds have been discovered that show promise for treating cancer without such toxic effects. Some of these even exhibit an effect called "selective cytotoxicity," which means they are able to kill cancer cells while leaving healthy cells and tissue unharmed, and even benefited one such compound is bromelain, an enzyme that can be extracted from pineapple stems. Research published in the journal Planta Medica found that bromelain was superior to the chemotherapy drug 5-fluorauracil in treating cancer in an animal study.5

Researchers stated:
"This antitumoral effect [of bromelain] was superior to that of 5-FU [5-fluorouracil], whose survival index was approximately 263 %, relative to the untreated control."

What makes this impact particularly impressive is that the bromelain worked without causing additional harm to the animals. The chemo drug 5-fluorauracil, on the other hand, has a relatively unsuccessful and dangerous track record despite being used for nearly 40 years. Selective cytotoxicity is indeed a property that is only found among natural compounds; no chemotherapy drug yet developed is capable of this effect. Aside from bromelain, other examples of natural compounds that have been found to kill cancer cells without harming healthy cells include:

* Vitamin C: Dr. Ronald Hunninghake carried out a 15-year research project called RECNAC (cancer spelled backwards). His groundbreaking research in cell cultures showed that vitamin C was selectively cytotoxic against cancer cells.

* Eggplant extract: Solasodine rhamnosyl glycosides (BEC), which are a class of compounds extracted from plants of the Solanaceae family, such as eggplant, tomato, potato, Bell peppers, and tobacco, can also impact only cancerous cells leaving normal cells alone. Eggplant extract cream appears to be particularly useful in treating skin cancer. Dr. Bill E. Cham, a leading researcher in this area, explains: "The mode of action of SRGs [glycoalkaloids solasodine rhamnosy glycosides (BEC)] is unlike any current antineoplastic [anti-tumor] agent. Specific receptors for the SRGs present only on cancer cells but not normal cells are the first step of events that lead to apoptosis in cancer cells only, and this may explain why during treatment the cancer cells were being eliminated and normal cells were replacing the killed cancer cells with no scar tissue being formed."

* Turmeric (Curcumin Extract): Of all the natural cancer fighters out there, this spice has been the most intensely researched for exhibiting selective cytotoxicity.6 Remarkably, in a 2011 study published in the Journal of Nutritional Biochemistry, rats administered curcumin, the primary polyphenol in turmeric, saw a decrease in experimentally-induced brain tumors in 9 out of 11 treated, while noting that the curcumin did not affect the viability of brain cells "suggesting that curcumin selectively targets the transformed [cancerous] cells."7

Natural Strategies for Cancer Prevention

When it comes to cancer and other chronic diseases, effective prevention trumps progressive treatments in my eyes. I believe you can virtually eliminate your risk of ever developing cancer (and radically improve your chances of recovering from cancer if you currently have it) by following some relatively simple risk reduction strategies-all of which help promote a healthful biological environment in which your cells can thrive and combat disease naturally.

* Optimize your vitamin D levels.
* Reduce or eliminate your processed food, fructose and grain carbohydrate intake.
* Control your fasting insulin and leptin levels. Normalizing your insulin levels is one of the most powerful physical actions you can take to lower your risk of cancer, and improved insulin and leptin control is the natural outcome of reducing or eliminating fructose, grains, and processed foods from your diet.
* Normalize your ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fats by taking a high-quality krill oil and reducing your intake of most processed vegetable oils.
* Get regular exercise. One of the primary ways exercise lowers your risk for cancer is by reducing elevated insulin levels, which creates a low sugar environment that discourages the growth and spread of cancer cells, which thrive on sugar-based metabolism (anaerobic glycolysis). Controlling insulin levels is one of the most powerful ways to reduce your cancer risks. Additionally, exercise improves the circulation of immune cells in your blood. Your immune system is your first line of defense against everything from minor illnesses like a cold right up to devastating, life-threatening diseases like cancer. The trick about exercise, though, is understanding how to use it as a precise tool. This ensures you are getting enough to achieve the benefit, not too much to cause injury, and the right variety to balance your entire physical structure and maintain strength and flexibility, and aerobic and anaerobic fitness levels. If you have limited time, high-intensity Peak Fitness exercises are your best bet but ideally you should have a good strength-training program as well.
* Get regular, good-quality sleep.
* Reduce your exposure to environmental toxins like pesticides, household chemical cleaners, synthetic air fresheners and air pollution.
* Limit your exposure and provide protection for yourself from EMF produced by cell phone towers, base stations, cell phones and WiFi stations. On May 31, 2011, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), an arm of the World Health Organization (WHO), declared that cell phones are "possibly carcinogenic to humans."
* Avoid frying or charbroiling your food. Boil, poach or steam your foods instead.
* Have a tool to permanently reprogram the neurological short-circuiting that can activate cancer genes. Even the CDC states that 85 percent of disease is caused by emotions. It is likely that this factor may be more important than all the other physical ones listed here, so make sure this is addressed. Energy psychology seems to be one of the best approaches and my particular favorite tool, as you may know, is the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).
* Eat at least one-third of your diet in the form of raw food.

Report calls for 'Killer Robot' Ban

Updated Wed Nov 21, 2012

Autonomous "killer robots" are a real possibility and must be banned before governments start deploying them, campaigners have warned.

The report 'Losing Humanity' - issued by Human Rights Watch (HRW) and Harvard Law School's International Human Rights Clinic - raised the alarm over the ethics of the looming technology. Calling them "killer robots," the report urged "an international treaty that would absolutely prohibit the development, production, and use of fully autonomous weapons".

The US military already leads the way in military robots, notably the unmanned aircraft or drones used for surveillance or attacks over Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen and elsewhere.

But these are controlled by human operators in ground bases and are not able to kill without authorisation.
Fully autonomous robots that decide for themselves when to fire could be developed within 20 to 30 years, or "even sooner," the 50 page report said, adding that weapon systems that require little human intervention already exist.

Perhaps closest to the Terminator-type killing machine portrayed in Arnold Schwarzenegger's action films is a Samsung sentry robot already being used in South Korea, with the ability to spot unusual activity, talk to intruders and, when authorised by a human controller, shoot them.

Fully autonomous fighting machines would spare human troops from dangerous situations.

The downside, though, is that robots would then be left to make nuanced decisions on their own, the most fraught being the need to distinguish between civilians and combatants in a war zone.

"A number of governments, including the United States, are very excited about moving in this direction, very excited about taking the soldier off the battlefield and putting machines on the battlefield and thereby lowering casualties," said Steve Goose, arms division director at HRW.

While Mr Goose said "killer robots" do not exist as yet, he warned of precursors.
He added the best way to forestall an ethical nightmare is a "pre-emptive, comprehensive prohibition on the development or production of these systems."

Internet Addiction is the New Mental Health Disorder

November 24, 2012
By Dr. Mercola

The next edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders (DSM) - often referred to as the American Psychiatric Association's (APA) diagnostic "bible" - is due out in May 2013.
In this latest edition, DSM-5, "Internet use disorder" will be recommended as an area that needs further study.

While you won't be able to be diagnosed with Internet use disorder just yet, recommending it for further study puts it squarely on the psychiatric radar, which means it's likely to be bumped up to an actual mental health disorder very soon.

What is Internet Use Disorder?
As defined by the APA, Internet use disorder includes many characteristics of any addiction, such as experiencing withdrawal symptoms when the object of addiction is taken away, an inability to control its use, developing a tolerance to it, deceiving family members about its use, and losing interests in other hobbies. In this case, of course, the object of abuse is the Internet.
According to the APA, you might have a problem if you display these symptoms:1

Preoccupation with Internet gaming
Withdrawal symptoms when Internet is taken away
Tolerance: the need to spend increasing amounts of time engaged in Internet gaming
Unsuccessful attempts to control Internet gaming use
Continued excessive Internet use despite knowledge of negative psychosocial problems
Loss of interests, previous hobbies, entertainment as a result of, and with the exception of Internet gaming use
Use of the Internet gaming to escape or relieve a dysphoric mood
Has deceived family members, therapists, or others regarding the amount of Internet gaming
Has jeopardized or lost a significant relationship, job, or educational or career opportunity because of Internet gaming use
Certainly, some may have a legitimate problem with spending too much time online, in the same way that people become addicted to gambling, television, pornography... the list is endless. It's quite possible to become addicted to virtually anything if it is used to the point where it interferes with other aspects of your life and puts your health, financial stability or relationships at risk...
But by making Internet addiction a certifiable mental illness, it then becomes treatable by drugs and billable through insurance companies - and morphs into a "disorder" that is likely something that will stigmatize your health records for the rest of your life. Not to mention, over-treatment is a very real risk... as has occurred with depression, ADHD, insomnia, and countless other conditions, many people with only "mild" cases may be diagnosed, and given drugs, when they are not at all necessary.
It is often the case that the newest mental health disorders are also those that happen to create the largest new drug markets. Millions of Americans, including me, use the Internet on a daily basis, many for hours on end, so the potential treatment market for "Internet use disorder" is huge.

Grief: Another "Disorder" Being Added to DSM-5
Grief is a highly individual experience, but for most people it takes two to six months to "run its course" - and sometimes much longer, all of which is normal and to be expected in the face of a significant loss. But according to DSM-5, you may actually have an "Adjustment Disorder" related to bereavement if:2
"Following the death of a close family member or close friend, the individual experiences on more days than not intense yearning or longing for the deceased, intense sorrow and emotional pain, or preoccupation with the deceased or the circumstances of the death for at least 12 months (or 6 months for children). The person may also display difficulty accepting the death, intense anger over the loss, a diminished sense of self, a feeling that life is empty, or difficulty planning for the future or engaging in activities or relationships."

These all sound like normal reactions following the death of a loved one, but the DSM-5 also proposes further study for Persistent Complex Bereavement Disorder, with the purpose being to "develop the best empirically-based set of symptoms to characterize individuals with bereavement-related disorders."
Close to 2.5 million Americans die each year, and the number of those experiencing grief as a result is far higher. This is the market the pharmaceutical industry stands to gain, thanks to the APA's trigger-happy attitude when it comes to labeling normal human emotions as psychiatric "disorders."

Who Really Needs Their Heads Examined?
The APA works in tandem with the drug industry, "creating" more and more "psychiatric diseases," which are appearing in the literature all the time:
* Do you shop too much? You might have Compulsive Shopping Disorder.
* Do you have a difficult time with multiplication? You could be suffering from Dyscalculia.
* Spending too much time at the gym? You'd better see someone for your Bigorexia or Muscle Dysmorphia.
* And my favorite - are your terrified by the number 13? You could have Triskaidekaphobia!
Each of these new "diseases" gets added to the next edition of the DSM if enough people show up with those traits. And increasingly, the criteria for inclusion involves whether or not the disorder responds to a category of drugs. If it does, the phenomenon is dubbed a disease.

Of the 297 mental disorders described in the DSM, none can be objectively measured by empirical test.3 In other words, they're completely subjective! Mental illness symptoms within this manual are arbitrarily assigned by a subjective voting system by a psychiatric panel. So, they're essentially making up diseases to fit the drugs - not the other way around.
According to marketing professional Vince Parry in a commentary called "The Art of Branding a Condition":4
"'Watching the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) balloon in size over the decades to its current phonebook dimensions would have us believe that the world is a more unstable place today than ever.' ...Not surprisingly, many of these newly coined conditions were brought to light through direct funding by pharmaceutical companies, in research, in publicity or both."

A former chief of the American Psychiatric Association even admitted that some of the "mistakes" the APA made in its diagnostic manual have had "terrible consequences," which have mislabeled millions of children and adults, and facilitated epidemics of mental illness that don't exist.5

It's almost impossible to see a psychiatrist today without being diagnosed with a mental disorder because so many behavior variations are described as pathology. And you have very high chance - approaching 100% - of emerging from your psychiatrist's office with a prescription in hand. Writing a prescription is, of course, much faster than engaging in behavioral or lifestyle strategies, but it's also a far more lucrative approach for the conventional model. Additionally, most practitioners have yet to accept the far more effective energetic psychological approaches, like the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT).

Do You Suspect You're Spending Too Much Time Online?
Getting back to the topic of Internet addiction, it's quite possible to overdo your time spent online. But psychotropic drugs are not likely to give you the solution you're after. For starters, they have no known measurable biological imbalances to correct - unlike other drugs that can measurably alter levels of blood sugar, cholesterol and so on.
How can you medicate something that is not physically there? The answer is, of course, you can't - and doing so is a dangerous game. In other words, drugs are probably not the answer to solving your Internet addiction.
What, then, is?
First of all, I want to point out that it absolutely is detrimental to your physical and emotional health to spend too much time in front of a computer. For one thing, it's way too much sitting. "Screen time" - more than two hours a day in particular - is associated with increased physical, emotional and behavioral difficulties, regardless of the time spent exercising. Research has shown:
* A study of more than 17,000 Canadians found that the mortality risk from all causes was 1.54 times higher among people who spent most of their day sitting compared to those who sat infrequently.6
* Sitting time is a predictor of weight gain, even after accounting for calories consumed and leisure time physical activity, such as exercise time.7
* The risk of metabolic syndrome rises in a dose-dependent manner depending on your "screen time" (the amount of time you spend watching TV or using a computer). Physical activity had only a minimal impact on the relationship between screen time and metabolic syndrome.8
* Children who spent more than two hours a day watching TV or using a computer were 61 and 59 percent more likely to experience high levels of psychological difficulties, respectively.9

If online gaming or gambling is involved, the problem could seriously escalate, as well as if you're neglecting your other responsibilities in order to participate in online gaming or other online activities.

If you suspect you have a problem, I suggest giving EFT a try. EFT is a form of psychological acupressure, based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture to treat physical and emotional ailments for over 5,000 years, but without the invasiveness of needles. Instead, simple tapping with the fingertips is used to input kinetic energy onto specific meridians on the head and chest while you think about your specific problem - whether it is a traumatic event, an addiction, pain, etc. - and voice positive affirmations.

This combination of tapping the energy meridians and voicing positive affirmation works to clear the "short-circuit" - the emotional block - from your body's bioenergy system, thus restoring your mind and body's balance, which is essential for optimal health and the healing of physical and emotional disease.

Chemotherapy Can Boost Cancer Growth, Study Finds
October 24 2012

A related news story again highlights the need to revise how we treat cancer and how we view cancer prevention. Chemotherapy is a staple of the cut, poison, burn paradigm that is conventional cancer treatment, despite the evidence against it. According to research published in the journal Nature Medicine, 5 chemotherapy can damage healthy cells in such a way that they begin secreting a protein (WNT16B) that not only protects cancer cells and promotes their survival, but can also cause the tumors to be resistant to further chemotherapy treatment.

In a nutshell, what we're talking about is chemotherapy-resistant cancer... caused by the initial treatment. It's difficult to think of a worse scenario than this. The finding was reportedly "completely unexpected," and was only discovered because they were trying to determine why cancer cells can be easily killed in a lab setting yet remain so resilient inside your body. The results were confirmed on breast and ovarian cancer tumors. Co-author Peter Nelson of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle told

"The increase in WNT16B was completely unexpected... WNT16B, when secreted, would interact with nearby tumor cells and cause them to grow, invade, and importantly, resist subsequent therapy..."

The researchers speculate that adding an antibody to WNT16B to the chemotherapy might improve the response rate and kill off more cancer cells. Another alternative might be to use smaller, less toxic doses of chemotherapy to reduce the damage to healthy cells.

Getting to the Root of the Problem
I strongly believe the cancer rates are escalating because they are in no way shape or form addressing the underlying cause of most cancers. Instead, most of the research is directed towards expensive drugs that target late stages of the disease and greatly enrich the drug companies but simply do not prevent cancer. If ever there was an area in which an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure it is cancer. I strongly believe that if you are able to work your way up to the advanced level of my health plan, that you will virtually eliminate your risk of most cancers.

Environmental and lifestyle factors are increasingly being pinpointed as the primary culprits fueling our cancer epidemic. This includes -

Pesticide and other chemical exposures
Processed and artificial foods (plus the chemicals in the packaging)
Wireless technologies, dirty electricity, and medical diagnostic radiation exposure
Pharmaceutical drugs
Obesity, stress, and poor sleeping habits
Lack of sunshine exposure and use of sunscreens

This is clearly not an exhaustive list as such a list would be exceedingly long. For more specifics on consumer products implicated as contributors to cancer, please review the Cancer Prevention Coalition's "Dirty Dozen" list.7

Medical researchers would like you to believe they're doing everything they can to come up with a solution. Yet all we see is research into newer drug therapies. Clearly they're not digging close enough to the root of the problem, because if they did, they'd touch on some of these lifestyle issues just mentioned. From my perspective, you ignore lifestyle factors at your own peril when it comes to cancer... Because, clearly, drug-based "advances" are not making a dent in this progressively prevalent disease.

REAL Cancer Advancements that Need to Become Mainstream Knowledge

In the last 30 years the global cancer burden has doubled, and it will likely double again between 2000 and 2020, and nearly triple by 2030 - unless people begin to take cancer prevention seriously. We CAN turn this trend around, but to do so the medical community must stop overlooking the methods that can actually have a significant impact.
Three cancer advancements in particular merit special mention. These advancements have not yet been accepted by conventional medicine, and they must be.

Number 1: Vitamin D - There's overwhelming evidence pointing to the fact that vitamin D deficiency plays a crucial role in cancer development. Researchers within this field have estimated that about 30 percent of cancer deaths could be prevented each year simply by optimizing the vitamin D levels in the general population. And if you are being treated for cancer it is likely that higher blood levels - probably around 80-90 ng/ml - would be a beneficial adjunct to your treatment plan. To learn the details on how to use vitamin D therapeutically, please review my previous article, Test Values and Treatment for Vitamin D Deficiency.

The health benefits of optimizing your levels, either by safe sun exposure (ideally), a safe tanning bed, or oral supplementation as a last resort, simply cannot be overstated. In terms of protecting against cancer, vitamin D has been found to offer protection in a number of ways, including:
* Regulating genetic expression
* Increasing the self-destruction of mutated cells (which, if allowed to replicate, could lead to cancer)
* Reducing the spread and reproduction of cancer cells
* Causing cells to become differentiated (cancer cells often lack differentiation)
* Reducing the growth of new blood vessels from pre-existing ones, which is a step in the transition of dormant tumors turning cancerous

Number 2: Optimizing Your Insulin Levels - Normalizing your insulin levels is one of the most powerful physical actions you can take to lower your risk of cancer. Otto Warburg actually received a Nobel Prize for his research on cancer cell physiology in 1934, which clearly demonstrated cancer cells require more sugar to thrive. Unfortunately, very few oncologists appreciate or apply this knowledge today.
High levels of insulin can cause major damage to your body. The most recognized of these is diabetes, but that is far from the only one. As Ron Rosedale, M.D. said in one of my most popular articles, Insulin and Its Metabolic Effects:
"It doesn't matter what disease you are talking about, whether you are talking about a common cold or cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis or cancer, the root is always going to be at the molecular and cellular level, and I will tell you that insulin is going to have its hand in it, if not totally control it."

The good news is that controlling your insulin levels is relatively straightforward. First, limit your intake of processed foods, grains and sugars/fructose as much as possible to prevent your insulin levels from becoming elevated in the first place. Replace them with healthy fats such as butter, animal fat, coconut oil, avocados, seeds and nuts.
I recently completed ten hours of interviews with Dr. Rosedale in which he goes FAR deeper into his philosophy and recommendations. I was floored at what I learned and he has once again changed my position on many important nutritional issues. One of the KEY new insights is that you need to LIMIT your protein to no more than your basic requirements, which is about one gram per kilogram of LEAN body mass, which is typically less than 70 grams for most people. If you go over this you will upregulate the mTOR pathways, which has been strongly associated with increasing your risk for cancer.
I am very excited to share this information with you once we review it as it is possible that this can help the treatment of most cancers. And it is all done with dietary regulation. Supplements can be used, but they are optional and only make the transition to fat burning metabolism easier.

Number 3: Exercise - If you are like most people, when you think of reducing your risk of cancer, exercise doesn't immediately come to mind. However, there is some fairly compelling evidence that exercise can slash your risk of cancer.
One of the primary ways exercise lowers your risk for cancer is by reducing elevated insulin levels, which creates a low sugar environment that discourages the growth and spread of cancer cells.

This is why it is helpful to view exercise like a drug that needs to be carefully prescribed to achieve its maximum benefit.

It's important to include a large variety of techniques in your exercise routine, such as strength training, aerobics, core-building activities, and stretching. Most important of all, however, is to make sure you include high-intensity, burst-type exercise, once or twice a week, in which you raise your heart rate up to your anaerobic threshold for 20 to 30 seconds, and then you recover for 90 seconds. These exercises activate your super-fast twitch muscle fibers, which can increase your body's natural production of human growth hormone.
Winning the War Against Cancer Begins with Your Personal Choices

You can do a lot, right now, to significantly decrease your cancer risk. Even the conservative American Cancer Society states that one-third of cancer deaths are linked to poor diet, physical inactivity, and carrying excess weight. So, in addition to the main three suggestions listed above, making the following healthy lifestyle changes can go a very long way toward avoiding all forms of cancer:

1. Eat a healthy diet of whole organic foods, and pay careful attention to keeping your insulin levels down by avoiding sugar/fructose and grains. I make this easy with my recently updated and free Nutrition Plan. The key here is to radically reduce your sugar and non-fiber carbs to an absolute minimum and limit your protein to one gram per one kilogram of lean body mass.
2. Only 25 percent of people eat enough vegetables, so by all means eat as many vegetables as you are comfortable with. Ideally, they should be fresh and organic. Cruciferous vegetables in particular have been identified as having potent anti-cancer properties. Remember that carb nutritional types may need up to 300 percent more vegetables than protein nutritional types.
3. Get appropriate amounts of high quality animal-based omega-3 fats.
4. Have a tool to permanently erase the neurological short-circuiting that can activate cancer genes. Even the CDC states that 85 percent of disease is caused by emotions. It is likely that this factor may be more important than all the other physical ones listed here, so make sure this is addressed. My particular favorite tool for this purpose, as you may know, is the Emotional Freedom Technique.
5. Maintain an ideal body fat percentage.
6. Get enough high-quality sleep.
7. Reduce your exposure to environmental toxins like pesticides, household chemical cleaners, synthetic air fresheners and air pollution.
8. Reduce your use of cell phones and other wireless technologies, and implement as many safety strategies as possible if/when you cannot avoid their use.
9. Boil, poach or steam your foods, rather than frying or charbroiling them.

Rice Farmers Suing Drug Company and Poultry Industry for Contaminating Their Crop with Arsenic

October 25 2012
By Dr. Mercola

Three Arkansas farming operations have filed a class-action lawsuit against Pfizer, Tyson Foods, and three Arkansas poultry producers over arsenic detected in their rice. 1

The lawsuit claims the defendants "knew that excessive arsenic in chicken litter used as fertilizer on many rice farms in Arkansas would contaminate the entire U.S. rice crop and infiltrate the general U.S. rice supply, and that public news about such arsenic contamination would result in devastating financial losses to U.S. and Arkansas rice producers."

Is Contaminated Chicken Litter the Culprit?

The suit comes on the heels of a Consumer Report issued last month, which reported it had found "worrisome" levels of inorganic arsenic in various rice products sold across the U.S. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), there is no real 'safe' level of exposure to inorganic arsenic, which is a well-known cancer-causing toxin. Consumer Reports found that white rice grown in Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, and Texas all had higher levels of arsenic than rice samples from other locations, including India, Thailand and California.

As reported by Arkansas Business:2
"...the three Arkansas farming enterprises allege that Pfizer manufactures additives containing arsenic that are then sold to the poultry industry for use in chicken feed. The additives are used to foster the growth of broiler chickens and prevent an intestinal disease in chickens called coccidiosis... The suit says that chicken litter, which contains chicken waste, is used by rice farmers as fertilizer. This litter winds up contaminating the soil and, ultimately, the rice crop.

...The suit seeks class-action status to represent all rice farmers in Arkansas. It seeks both compensatory and punitive damages to be determined at trial.

Gary Mickelson, a Tyson spokesman, said, 'We're still reviewing the lawsuit, but will say it appears to be an example of creative lawyers trying to use frivolous litigation to extract money from companies that have done nothing wrong. We will vigorously defend ourselves. None of our chickens are given feed additives containing arsenic.'"

Majority of CAFO Chickens Still Get Arsenic-Laced Chicken Feed

It was only last summer that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced a "voluntary suspension" of Pfizer's arsenic-laced drug Roxarsone, which has been widely used on chicken CAFOs (Confined Animal Feeding Operations) to control an intestinal parasite that allows the chickens to feed more productively and grow faster. It also makes the chicken meat appear pinker (i.e. "fresher").

Roxarsone has been used in chicken feed since the 1940s. More than 70 years later, the FDA conducted an analysis that found chickens treated with the drug do in fact have arsenic in their livers - and as a result, manufacturer Pfizer agreed to stop selling the drug (brand name 3-Nitro) in July of last year.

One of the many reasons I've long recommended avoiding conventionally raised chicken is because of the potential for it to contain arsenic. Some of the larger chicken producers, including Tyson and Perdue, claim they phased the drug out several years ago. Tyson reportedly quit using arsenic compounds in 2004,3 however, the plaintiffs in this case claim that:4

"...Each Poultry Industry Defendant manufactures its own feed formula to be used by its respective growers/hatchers. Each Poultry Industry Defendant includes (or, as recently as 2011, included) '3-Nitro' Roxarsone to some degree in their formula and, as such, manufactures and designs the feed formula each deems optimal."
Tyson is one of the Poultry Industry Defendants in this case. Hopefully this trial will unearth the truth about whether or not they've actually quit using 3-Nitro... As of 2007, the majority - 70 percent - of the 9 billion broiler chickens produced annually in the United States were still being fed Roxarsone.5

Roxarsone - Another Toxic Debacle Demonstrating the Necessity of Holistic Safety Studies
Roxarsone, manufactured by Pfizer, was the first arsenic-based product approved for use in animal feed. Its alleged safety was based on the fact that it contains organic arsenic, which is less toxic than the other inorganic form, which is a known carcinogen. However, after decades of use, scientific reports began surfacing stating that the organic arsenic in Roxarsone could transform into inorganic arsenic.

According to a 2007 report in Chemical and Engineering News:
"...a team led by James A. Field of the department of chemical and environmental engineering at the University of Arizona reported that under anaerobic conditions, roxarsone is converted to inorganic arsenic within eight months after poultry litter is spread on fields.6 'Roxarsone is not very toxic,' Field says, 'but in anaerobic environments, it is transformed into highly toxic forms.'

...Chicken manure introduces huge quantities of arsenic to agricultural fields. According to Donald L. Sparks, professor of marine studies at the University of Delaware, poultry litter is spread on land at the rate of 9 to 20 metric tons per hectare.

One reason for the increasing concern about Roxarsone is that the weight of evidence for arsenic as a carcinogen is much greater now than it was a decade ago. In 2001, EPA proposed reducing the maximum contaminant levels for arsenic in drinking water from 50 ppb to 10 ppb and required water systems to comply by January 2006. The agency took this action in response to three National Research Council reports that concluded the standard of 50 ppb posed unreasonable risks. And even the new lower maximum appears problematic. According to EPA estimates, the risk of cancer from 10 ppb of arsenic in tap water is 1 in 2,000, a 50-fold higher risk than that allowed for most other carcinogens."

Besides cancer, other health risks associated with chronic arsenic exposure include, according to the EPA:
Kidney damage and failure
Low blood pressure
Increased risk of diabetes

The Many Problems Associated with CAFO-Style Farming

In related news, on October 10, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced that Tyson Foods in Arkansas had issued a nationwide recall of misbranded chicken containing undeclared allergens:7

"Tyson Foods, Inc., a Pine Bluff, Ark. establishment, is recalling approximately 67,269 pounds of packages labeled as Honey BBQ Flavored Boneless Chicken Wyngz because of misbranding and undeclared allergens. Buffalo Style Boneless Chicken Wyngz were packaged in bags meant for Honey BBQ Flavored Boneless Chicken Wyngz and contain the allergens milk, soy and egg, which are not declared on the Honey BBQ Flavored Boneless Chicken Wyngz label."

13 Year Old Develops Breakthrough Solar Technology

A Child Studies A Tree

A junior High School kid has invented a way of collecting sunlight for solar power that mimics the way leaves on trees do it!

Aiden Dwyer studied the pattern of the branches and discovered that they all follow a Fibonacci formula! This type of innovation is called Biomimicry -- looking to nature's examples for the most efficient way to accomplish a task.

Instead of thinking of solar panels as large flat things that must be installed on a roof, he had the idea to make a tree shaped collection of smaller panels, following the Fibonacci formula for an oak tree.

His invention may just liberate solar technology completely, bringing it down from the roof and into any kind of urban space, making solar power modular and portable.

Hoorah for the young scientist!

'Biofarms' to Integrate Vaccines, Pharmaceuticals into GMO & Crops

By Anthony Gucciardi
October 8, 2012

The truth really is much stranger than fiction, especially when it comes to the open and admitted future plans of major biotechnology companies. One such case involves a biotech company known as ProdiGene, the officials from which actually faced jail time <> back in 2002 for contaminating the traditional food supply with 'biopharmaceutical' crops that were growing pharmaceuticals and vaccine components associated with AIDS, diabetes, and diarrhea.

Contaminating 500,000 bushels of soy with their biopharmaceutical corn that contained pharmaceutical and vaccine components associated with deadly diseases, the company was slapped with a minor $500,000 fine by the USDA (the same government organization that gives Monsanto's crops special speed approval and ignores the company's blatant disregard <> for its regulations). As it turns out, the pharmaceutical crops were actually mixed in with traditional crops and unknowing farmers had already been planted for human consumption. The USDA claims, however, that the crops were confiscated.

After receiving the fine and some press coverage on the subject, ProdiGene decided not to apologize but to expand their mission. The company, in combination with estimates by Dow AgroSciences, stated that <> they sought to reach $200 billion in biopharmaceutical crops within 10 years (as of 2004). Furthermore, they estimated that 10% of the corn in the United States will be biopharmaceutical in nature.

In other words, it could contain hidden nano-scale vaccinations, antibiotics, anti-depressants, or any form of pharmaceutical drug. One California based company has even created a spermicidal corn to be used as a mass contraceptive. In an AlterNet piece covering the issue entitled 'Spermicidal Breakfast Cereal', author Carmelo Ruiz-Marrero asks <;tMvn3g;20050328214136-0800> :

What would happen if contraceptive corn or antibiotic wheat accidentally made it to the supermarket? Nobody knows, but that isn't stopping agribusiness from pursuing these crops.

Vaccines, Drugs, Sterilizations to be Fused into Nation's Dinner?

The existence of such technology brings the fight against GMOs to an entirely new level. Outside of the known effects such as recent links to tumors, DNA damage, and other complications, GMO crops on your dinner table could soon contain pharmaceutical drugs like statins in an effort of 'mass medicating' the public. Such an effort would likely be used in conjunction with others to fight against those who choose to opt out of vaccinations, delivering the vaccine through the food supply.

It may sound absurd, and it is, but is not a new notion. Researchers previously designed a method in which mosquitoes could be 'flying vaccine carriers' toinject large numbers of individuals with vaccinations without their knowledge of consent. As one spokesman for a major ecology organization explained: <>

"One single mistake from a biotechnology company and we'll be having someone else's prescription medicine for breakfast in our cereal," explained Larry Bohlen from Friends of the Earth, an international ecology organization.

The information ties in with the recent news revealing that Monsanto now owns amonumental 'gene silencing' technology for pharmaceutical use in humans. The king biotechnology company even forged <> arecent alliance with Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Inc. To get the initiative started. After all, Monsanto would not lose an opportunity to conquer a large portion of the massive $200 billion biopharmaceutical crop market. <>

Other corporations are looking to get a chunk too, with the website acting a hub for farmers willing to lease their land for biopharmaceutical experiments across the globe. Touting a net worth of $80 billion in the coming years, investors are continually looking to get their hands on biopharmaceutical growing operations to churn out drug-containing GMO crops for mass consumption - and mass profits. So far, they've garnered contracts as far as Zimbabwe to continue their operations. <>

Just like regular GMOs, DDT, and cigarettes, experts are concerned that the real effects of biopharmaceutical growth may not be recognized until decades later.

"What will have to happen before the Department of Agriculture takes seriously the fact that millions of people almost ended up consuming experimental drugs and chemicals?" asks Brandon Keim, of the Council for Responsible Genetics in reference to the ProdiGene scandal. "A few sensational deaths? Maybe an increase in debilitating disorders which will only be noticeable some decades later, when it's already too late?"

If the public grows more aware of GMO dangers with the grassroots support and potential passing of Prop 37, however, biopharmaceutical farms may never see mainstream success.

Students who Refuse to be Micro-chipped are Punished by tyrannical Texas Schools

Monday, October 15, 2012 by: J. D. Heyes

(NaturalNews) The surveillance society continues to expand across America, with those who refuse to go along subject to recriminations and reprisals.

That's what's happening to students at John Jay High School and Anson Jones Middle School in San Antonio whose parents refuse to have their children tracked by school officials.

According to reports, the school districts implemented new rules Oct. 1 that require each student to attend classes with photo ID cards embedded with a radio-frequency identification (RFID) chip, so officials are able to track every pupil's location. Educators have said the requirement is necessary to stem rampant truancy, which is, in turn, taking a huge chunk out of the school's funding. If the program is eventually judged to be effective, officials plan to roll it out to all 112 schools in the district, covering some 100,000 students.

Kids who won't wear the ID trackers - which are supposed to be carried in pockets or around the neck - complain they are being targeted by teachers and are not permitted to take part in certain school functions. Some have even said they have been refused entrance to common areas like libraries and cafeterias.

Mark of the beast?

One student, Andrea Hernandez, a sophomore at John Jay, said in an interview that educators have turned a deaf ear to her pleas to respect her privacy and have told her she can't participate in school elections if she doesn't comply with the tracking program (apparently the Constitution really isn't taught in many U.S. schools these days).

In an interview with Salon, Hernandez said subjecting herself to such continual monitoring was like being branded with "the mark of the beast," a Biblical reference to the Book of Revelations.

Later, in a separate interview published by WorldNetDaily, Hernandez said the school responded by threatening her with the loss of her right to vote in the school's homecoming king and queen contest for disobeying.

"I had a teacher tell me I would not be allowed to vote because I did not have the proper voter ID," Hernandez told WND. "I had my old student ID card which they originally told us would be good for the entire four years we were in school. He said I needed the new ID with the chip in order to vote."

Upon refusing to wear the RFID-chipped ID, the web paper said Deputy Superintendent Ray Galindo fired off a statement to her parents: "We are simply asking your daughter to wear an ID bad as every other student and adult on the Jay campus is asked to do."

If she still refused; he went on, later repercussions would be stiffer than merely revoking her rights to vote in homecoming contests once the school decides to make the monitoring a mandatory attendance rule.

"I urge you to accept this solution so that your child's instructional program will not be affected. As we discussed, there will be consequences for refusal to wear an ID card as we begin to move forward with full implementation," Galindo wrote.

Steve Hernandez, Andrea's father, told WND that the school seemed somewhat willing to work with his daughter, but went on to say the family is simply unwilling to "agree to stop criticizing the program" and endorse it publicly.

"I told him that was unacceptable because it would imply an endorsement of the district's policy and my daughter and I should not have to give up our constitutional rights to speak out against a program that we feel is wrong," Mr. Hernandez said.

Profiting from privacy destruction

But there's money in tracking and privacy violation, you see - at least in this case.

The Northside Independent School District is set to collect north of $2 million in state funding to revise its poor attendance records; the RFID program will cost only about a quarter of that amount, with another $136,000 in annual maintenance costs.

But that money will likely not offset damages from unintended privacy violations on the back end: Heather Fazio, of Texans for Accountable Government, told WND she filed a Freedom of Information Act request regarding the program, for which she paid a $30 filing fee, and received the names and addresses of every student in the district.

"Using this information along with an RFID reader means a predator could use this information to determine if the student is at home and then track them wherever they go. These chips are always broadcasting so anyone with a reader can track them anywhere," she said.

A spokeswoman for the American Civil Liberties Union told the local San Antonio Express-News earlier this year her organization expects to file a legal challenge to the tracking program.

But Rebecca Robertson, who is with a local branch of the organization said that, "the ACLU of Texas will not be able to represent you or your daughter in this matter," saying the case did not meet the group's criteria.

Fresh Water demand driving Sea-level Rise Faster than glacier melt

Trillions of tonnes of water have been pumped up from deep underground reservoirs in every part of the world, says report
Damian Carrington ,, Sunday 20 May 2012

For three decades, Saudi Arabia has been drilling for water from underground aquifers. Engineers and farmers have tapped hidden reserves of water to grow grains, fruit and vegetables in the desert of Wadi As-Sirhan Basin. Photograph: Landsat/Nasa

Humanity's unquenchable thirst for fresh water is driving up sea levels even faster than melting glaciers, according to new research. The massive impact of the global population's growing need for water on rising sea levels is revealed in a comprehensive assessment of all the ways in which people use water.

Trillions of tonnes of water have been pumped up from deep underground reservoirs in every part of the world and then channelled into fields and pipes to keep communities fed and watered. The water then flows into the oceans, but far more quickly than the ancient aquifers are replenished by rains. The global tide would be rising even more quickly but for the fact that man-made reservoirs have, until now, held back the flow by storing huge amounts of water on land.

"The water being taken from deep wells is geologically old - there is no replenishment and so it is a one way transfer into the ocean," said sea level expert Prof Robert Nicholls, at the University of Southampton. "In the long run, I would still be more concerned about the impact of climate change, but this work shows that even if we stabilise the climate, we might still get sea level rise due to how we use water." He said the sea level would rise 10 metres or more if all the world's groundwater was pumped out, though he said removing every drop was unlikely because some aquifers contain salt water. The sea level is predicted to rise by 30-100cm by 2100, putting many coasts at risk, by increasing the number of storm surges that swamp cities.

The new research was led by Yadu Pokhrel, at the University of Tokyo, and published in Nature Geoscience. "Our study is based on a state-of-the-art model which we have extensively validated in our previous works," he said. "It suggests groundwater is a major contributor to the observed sea level rise." The team's results also neatly fill a gap scientists had identified between the rise in sea level observed by tide gauges and the contribution calculated to come from melting ice.

The drawing of water from deep wells has caused the sea to rise by an average of a millimeter every year since 1961, the researchers concluded. The storing of freshwater in reservoirs has offset about 40% of that, but the scientists warn that this effect is diminishing.

"Reservoir water storage has levelled off in recent years," they write. "By contrast, the contribution of groundwater depletion has been increasing and may continue to do so in the future, which will heighten the concerns regarding the potential sea level rise in the 21st century." Nicholls, who was not part of the research team, said there are a wide range of projections of future sea level. "But this work makes one worry about the uncertainty at the high end more," he said.

The researchers compared the contribution of groundwater withdrawal and reservoir storage to the more familiar causes of rising sea level: ice melted by global warming and the expansion of the ocean as it warms. The pumping out of groundwater is five times bigger in scale than the melting of the planet's two great ice caps, in Greenland and Antarctica, and twice as great as both the melting of all other glaciers and ice or the thermal expansion of seawater.

The scale of groundwater use is as vast as it is unsustainable: over the past half century 18 trillion tonnes of water has been removed from underground aquifers without being replaced. In some parts of the world, the stores of water have now been exhausted. Saudi Arabia, for example, was self-sufficient in wheat, grown in the desert using water from deep, fossil aquifers. Now, many of the aquifers have run dry and most wheat is imported, with all growing expected to end in 2016. In northern India, the level of the water table is dropping by 4cm every year.

Pokhrel's team also investigated the effect of rising temperatures on other ways in which water is stored on land. They found that the drying of soils and loss of snow added almost a tenth of a millimetre per year to sea level rise.

Prof Jonathan Bamber, of the University of Bristol, said the washing of vast volumes of groundwater into the sea was a large factor, but did not appear to have accelerated over the past 50 years, despite the world population more than doubling in that time. In contrast, the melting of ice sheets and glaciers as global temperatures rise has accelerated over the past 20 years, he said: "So it is pretty clear to me that this will be the dominant contributor in the future."

The new work reveals the surprisingly large effect of deep water wells on the oceans, said Martin Vermeer, at Aalto University in Finland, but would not radically alter overall estimates of sea level rise by 2100. "It's an incremental change, nothing revolutionary, assuming the result of this paper holds up. Science is never built upon a single result."

Colloidal Silver cures MRSA infections

Wednesday, February 08, 2012 by: JB Bardot

(NaturalNews) More than 90 years ago doctors and health practitioners discovered the life-saving, disinfectant and germicidal properties in colloidal silver. Anecdotal evidence has confirmed its efficacy as a natural antibiotic, anti-viral and anti-fungal agent. The FDA, however, doesn't agree and ruled in 1999 that all colloidal silver products sold over-the-counter are unsafe and mis-branded. They state they are unaware of any substantial scientific studies or evidence that support its use for the treatment of serious disease. This is one more area where government regulators being influenced by Big Pharma are attempting to discredit the efficacy of a highly effective natural treatment for infections. New Lavender Oil clinically proven to relieve occasional Anxiety

New Lavender Oil clinically proven to relieve occasional Anxiety
Sunday, February 12, 2012 by: PF Louis

(NaturalNews) Lavender essential oils have been used in European hospitals, mainly France, for treating burns. But that is not the only application of lavender that has proven itself. Insomnia and anxiety relief are the most common uses aside from burns.

The herb's Latin title is Lavandula angustifolia, more commonly known as English or garden lavender. It grows abundantly in fields along the Mediterranean shores of Europe, mostly France. You may have noticed those fields as visual subjects from some famous artists.

It's commonly sold and used as an essential oil for aromatherapy or made into a tea from the lavender leaves. The oil can be applied to the skin for transdermal absorption. Actually, it can be applied to the skin, say the inner wrists, and then inhaled through the nose to maximize its use. The leaves are steeped in boiled water for 15 minutes. (1)

One can also make or buy it as an extract. One source recommends not exceeding 60 drops of extract or tincture in a day. Making your own tincture (extract) is by far the most economical way to go if you prefer that delivery method (

Lavender availability EU,UK and USA

Unfortunately, the regional origin of lavender is about to have its public access curtailed. Lavender for health and therapeutic uses may soon be by prescription only in the EU and UK, thanks to Codex Alimenterius. Might this also have something do with lavender's ability to deal with methycillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)?

MRSA has become a common in hospitals as the result of staph infections becoming resistant to the overuse of antibiotics. Lab testing has demonstrated lavender's ability to destroy staph infections. But so far, lavender hasn't been used this way much if at all. (2)
But fortunately for Americans, herbal restrictions haven't started in the USA yet (and Australia) . It seems one company knows the USA is headed that way, making prescriptions an inevitable requirement for herbal products.

Integrative Therapeutics has concocted a proprietary blend of lavender and given it a new name. The lavender they use is the common Lavandula angustifolia, though they seem to make it out as unique.

A press release from Integrative Therapeutics, which mentions its FDA approval as a drug company, is promoting its lavender product Lavela WS 1265 as available only to "health professionals" directly from them or one of its affiliate distributors. It won't be appearing in your health food stores. (3)

Their site compares this product to Silexan, a lavender product used for insomnia and anxiety without side effects, which has favorable press from PubMed with references to clinical trials. So how is Silexan or Lavela WS 1265 essentially different than lavender? The basic difference is the delivery method.
Lavender extracts are placed into gel capsules filled with oil, enabling easy oral consumption, which is nice. But Lavela WS 1265 uses non-GMO Canola oil. (4) Canola oil is not such a good choice for putting into your body even if GMO free despite affirmations from various health societies and the FDA. (

Nuclear Crises in the US

Nuclear Flood Threat: 1100 troops, 25,000 homes flooded, NRC chief onsite (vid)
June 25th 2011

Emergency Update: At approximately 1:00am Sunday, June 26, the aqua-berm quickly constructed around Fort Calhoun Nuclear Station broke and electricity had to be cut. The plant is now reportedly running on emergency generators as workers try to restore electricity after water surrounded main electrical transformers. The auxiliary building at Ft. Calhoun was surrounded by water after the berm failure. A Nuclear Regulatory Commission letter said if water enters the auxilary building, there could have been a station blackout with core damage in hours.

Project Flood 2011 intensifies

Upstream of two nuclear power plants operating at heightened alert, biblical proportion flooding is has resulted in as many as 4,500 families to lose their homes in North Dakota, 25,000 homes filling with water, patrol boats responding to 911 calls, and 1100 activated National Guardsmen onsite to help. An Air Force base, overseeing 150 Minuteman III missiles in underground launch silos over 8,500 square miles, is partially under water according to CBS News on Saturday. Downstream are Nebraska's two atomic plants causing national and international dismay plus reason for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission chief to arrive on the scene today.

Some compare one of the two U.S. nuclear power plants threatened by floodwaters to Fukushima, not only due to the floodwater. Both Fort Calhoun Nuclear Station and Fukushima are storehouses for years of spent nuclear fuel rods, a danger highlighted by some news sources, the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, and other watchdog groups.
"Floodwaters are breaching levees, triggering evacuations, closing highways, swamping thousands of acres of farmland, destroying homes and lapping against hurriedly reinforced floodwalls protecting cities, airports and power plants, including two in Nebraska that produce nuclear power," reported World Herald staff reporter David Hendee today.

"Imagine roughly 55 million acres - the entire surface of Nebraska and southwest Iowa - covered in a foot of water. Now imagine trying to funnel all that water down a drainage canal surrounded by airports and homes, businesses and farms. You can begin to grasp the unprecedented, slow-developing danger facing folks from Montana to Missouri from the Great Flood of 2011." (World Herald)

North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple said Saturday that the Souris River, upriver of the nuclear power plants, is flowing over most levees of the city Minot, surging past a 130-year-old record level. Col. S.L. Davis, commander of the 91st Missile Wing, reports "localized flooding" at a handful of missiles site. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service launched four boats to patrol flooded neighborhoods and respond to 911 calls. (CBS)

The Souris River soared nearly 4 feet in less than 24 hours, overwhelming the city of Minot's levees where an estimated 4,500 homes are expected to be severely damaged by the time the river peaks today according to Associated Press.

Over 10,000 people evacuated earlier in the week, packing what they hoped to save into cars, trucks and trailers. Water came up through a storm sewer, eroding one downtown levee before it was controlled and Army Corps of Engineers Lt. Col. Kendall Bergmann said levees protecting the key northern approach to Broadway Bridge was touch and go.

Maj. Gen. David Sprynczynatyk, North Dakota adjutant general said, "A big part of what we are doing is securing evacuated areas to ensure that property is protected while people need to leave the area for safety reasons. Our Guardsmen comprise a versatile force that is able to assist flood-affected communities in a number of ways."

"It°os really sad to see what people here are going through. I°om glad to help in any way I can," said Sgt. Ross Teigen. "I°ove volunteered to be here as long as they need me."

President Obama's emergency declaration enabled FEMA and the American Red Cross to begin establishing "transitional housing centers." This week, however, International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War doctors harshly criticized government and industry for not being more forthcoming with warnings that radiation from Nebraska's nuclear plants is a reality.

"It's always the same phenomenon that industry and government do everything it can to hide and downplay such incidents," said nuclear expert in IPPNW Henrik Paulitz. "States and nuclear industries are too much into each other, so that reason alone... does not guarantee a sufficient degree.

"The fact that nuclear power plants worldwide are threatened by high water levels of rivers at any time, occupied the uncontrollability of this technique. How many accidents and near accidents have you actually need to finally draw the necessary consequences?" Paulitz asked this week.

Government's Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Chairman Gregory Jaczko arrived in Nebraska today to "observe Missouri River flooding and the flooding preparation" at both plants, Cooper on Sunday and Fort Calhoun Monday according to Daily Reporter.

Nuclear plants at risk

The flooding in the nuclear facility sites' areas is expected to remain problematic throughout the summer. AP reported Thursday that the Army Corps of Engineers has been releasing dam water upstream of the nuclear stations after heavy rain and snow melt. "Water releases at the Gavins Point Dam in South Dakota hit 160,000 cubic feet of water per second Thursday, and the corps plans to continue releasing water at that rate until at least August." (AP)

Several areas downriver had some temporary relief Friday. In southeastern Nebraska, near Cooper Nuclear Plant, the Missouri River dropped more than a foot, but waters continue rising this weekend according to the National Weather Service.

Sandbagging, including by prisoners in some areas, has been the main flood damage prevention upstream of Fort Calhoun Nuclear Power Station and a makeshift berm has been quickly constructed at the plant. Critics question these methods of protecting millions of American babies and thousands of acres of America's prime bread basket from nuclear catastrophe, while the government spends billions of dollars to spy on Americans and billions more on private contractors to "make us safe."

Friday's New York Times report on U.S. nuclear plants, coupled with other recent reports, such as one revealing 2/3s of U.S. nuclear plants have leaked radiation, have resulted in lack of confidence in the nuclear industry and fear of the two nuclear facilities are downstream of the "biblical proportion flooding."

Fort Calhoun Nuclear Power Station is operated by OPPD that neglected to head official warning and failed to pass flood risk prevention well enough for the NRC according to The New York Times. Pumps in an emergency water makeup system at Fort Calhoun plant failed repeatedly over several years and "the plant owner never identified the true cause of those failures, and therefore, did not take the right steps to prevent their recurrence" reported Union of Concerned Scientists that nam Fort Calhoun plant among 14 of the nation's 104 nuclear plants. (See "THE NRC and Nuclear Power Plant Safety 2010")

After OPPD's inadequate or no response to its reports issued as far back as 2003, in October, 2010, NRC began to pressure OPPD to resolve flooding issues to avoid meltdown. Friday, The New York Times reported that Fort Calhoun nuclear plant was suppose to have been raised three feet to avoid serious problems from flooding, but OPPD did not act on the warning:

"A still-unresolved issue in the dispute is the NRC's contention that OPPD received, but did not properly act on, a warning by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in 2003. It said high-water threats to the plant should be raised by 3 feet based on a new assessment following severe Missouri River floods in the mid-1990s."

"The performance deficiency existed for many years," the NRC said in an Oct. 6, 2010, letter to the Omaha utility. (NYT)
Fort Calhoun nuclear plant closed in April for refueling and will remain so until the flood recedes according to NRC.

Tuesday, NRC Region IV Administrator Elmo Collins reported, "We are closely following events at both plants. Both plants have activated their flood response plans and taken appropriate steps to protect vital structures, systems and components from rising floodwaters and maintain their plants in a safe condition."

NRC reported that "diesel fuel tanks have been topped off and two additional fuel tanks have been brought onsite. If there is a complete loss of power on site temporary pumps that run on gas can circulate cooling water through the spent fuel pool and reactor core. Plant capabilities remain undiminished, despite the rising water."

Although officials continue reporting safety, other surfacing reports clarify why the public is not so sure about official reports and even why alarm bells should be sounded about atomic energy. Assumptions that Fort Calhoun plant's closure makes it safe are being dispelled and some reporters are comparing the situation there to Fukushima.

"As was the critical event in Fukushima, in Ft Calhoun circulating water is required at all times to keep the new fuel and more importantly, the spent radioactive material cool," reported Patrick Henningsen for Global Research today. "The Nebraska facility houses around 600,000 - 800,000 pounds of spent fuel that must be constantly cooled to prevent it from starting to boil, so the reported 90-minute gap in service should raise alarm bells."

"Spent" fuel rods at Fort Calhoun plant were not constantly cooled due to a 90-minute service gap. As the ongoing crisis in Fukushima demonstrates, nuclear fuel remains hot long after a reactor is shut down. The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists article, "Rising water, falling journalism," by Dawn Stover on June 16 reported, "Two-thirds of hot nuclear fuel remains in reactor core at Calhoun plant even though media claims it was 'shut down' for refueling and maintenance."

Even the plant's closure does not mean it is free from possibly producing a radiation catastrophe according to Stover who furthered, "When Fort Calhoun is shut down for maintenance and refueling, only one-third of the fuel in the reactor core is removed."

Arnie Gundersen summarized Fort Calhoun nuclear Emergency Level 4 and its technical failures for KETV Action News in Missouri. Today, the KETV video of that report, including footage of the plant that the reporters said industry officials did not want them to take, has been viewed by 180,000 people.

Victor Dricks, spokesman for the NRC Region IV office in Arlington, Texas said, "There isn't a Level 4 emergency at the plant. It is a misnomer.

[S]omeone said it was a Level 4 nuclear emergency based on the International Nuclear and Radiological Event Scale. Level 4 means "accident with local consequences." The NRC uses a different system according to Sioux City Journal.

According to Gundersen, on June 6, Fort Calhoun pressurized water nuclear reactor and Nebraska entered emergency status due to imminent flooding from the Missouri River. A day later, an electrical fire occurred requiring plant evacuation. On June 8th, NRC event reports confirmed the fire resulted in loss of cooling for the reactor's spent fuel pool.

Gundersen explained the risks of coolant loss at overcrowded "spent" fuel pools and national hazards of nuclear facilities along the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers during the floods. He assessed the situation as very critical and warned of the possibility of dams giving way, an event that could be a scenario similar to that of Fukishima.

International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW) suspects floodwater already reached Fort Calhoun facility's basement rooms, where sensitive operating and security systems are housed. IPPNW's nuclear expert, Henrik Paulitz reported that it is possible that Fort Calhoun's normal cooling systems have been out of operation for some time and that cooling of the nuclear rods is being provided by emergency backup systems. Paulitz says the question remains whether there has been any contact between the plant's contaminated water and the Missouri River water.

Television celebrity Thom Hartman, on Russia Today's program, The Daily Take, sounded an alarm this week in his report, Nuclear Power: We almost lost Nebraska. Rachel Maddow's report Wednesday on MSN, "Flood Waters Threaten Nebraska Nuclear Plant," is now featured on nuclear watchdog websites.

Nuclear power plant malfunctions this week have not restored faith in safety of both Nebraska nuclear plants. A gauge malfunction caused bad data on river level near Cooper nuke plant on Tuesday. Due to mechanical failure, a Fort Calhoun surveying helicopter made a forced landing Friday.

On a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the safest, Alan Dostal who is NPPD's nuclear expert said, "We are an absolutely safe plant, that's a 10." That was during an interview with Nebraska Watchdog on March 29, five days before three workers at Cooper were exposed to radiation.

According to NRC, a fuel rod accident triggered alarms worn by workers at Cooper. NPPD says the incident, still under investigation, caused no apparent injuries but was "unacceptable." NRC wants "to understand why normal work practices were not followed" according to Nebraska Watchdog in Missouri News Horizon.

Scientific America reported Friday that, despite calls to shutter the U.S. nuclear program, President Obama remains supportive of the industry, contrary to his stated position opposing it before elected. In Friday's report, Karl Grossman wrote:

"Indeed, if policymakers were able to divert the hundreds of millions of dollars in subsidies to the U.S. nuclear industry every year to solar, wind and geothermal developers, there is no telling how quickly we could innovate our way to sustainable non-polluting energy independence and put the specter of nuclear power that much further in our rearview mirror.

As human lives are at stake, Bill Mason, a resident of Hartford, Conn. wrote to Scientific America, "Radioactive rain recently fell in Massachusetts, likely due to Japan's nuclear mess. Given the threats of radiation, wouldn't it be madness now to continue with nuclear power? How can President Obama include nukes as part of a 'clean energy' agenda?"

World Disclosure Day - July 8

Washington, DC - Paradigm Research Group has today initiated an international effort to designate July 8 as World Disclosure Day.

Disclosure - the formal acknowledgement by world governments of an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race - is the primary goal of a growing international truth movement. The purpose of World Disclosure Day is to provide a focal point for people and organizations to come together to assert their right to know extraordinary information being withheld from them by their governments - the truth embargo.  World Disclosure Day will also help broaden public awareness of the Disclosure process and those organizations involved in this advocacy work.

On July 8, 1947 General Roger Ramey held a press event at the 8th Army Air Force Headquarters in Fort Worth, Texas in which he changed the just released story of a recovered crashed disk near Roswell, New Mexico to that of a retrieved Rawin weather balloon. This was the informal beginning of the now 64-year truth embargo regarding an extraterrestrial presence.  For this reason the date July 8 was chosen to emphasize the need to reverse that now inappropriate policy.

People and organizations from every nation can register their endorsement of World Disclosure Day at the WDD website. Endorsements from around the world are already coming in (the majority of which are international).   In time various relevant events will come to be scheduled on this date.

Tomorrow (July 2) is World UFO Day, which was initiated in 2001 and has drawn some modest attention over the years.  It is home based at:

But the advocacy movement is now representative of a new era - exopolitics.  The era of the UFO is over.  It ended no later than 1991.  "UFO" is now an anachronistic contradiction in terms.  [Imagine the India independence movement had focused on UFOs - Unidentified Foreign Occupiers.]   The truth embargo is not about preventing citizens from learning about frisbees, balloons and bird flocks.  It's about withholding acknowledgment of non-human, intelligent beings flying about in Earth's skies and much more.   The scientific study of the phenomena should of course go forward, but should be called extraterrestrial phenomena research - not ufology.

"UFO" is of the past.  Disclosure is the future, and this is where the emphasis must shift.   A national security policy has to be changed, and that is politics - exopolitics.

Note: on the day the first nation comes forward to finally and formally acknowledge the extraterrestrial presence, that day will then become World Disclosure Day (or Disclosure Day) historically recognizing the most profound event in human history.

Astrobiology Scientists hunting down Grey

"What if Life was planted here on Earth, and it rode in on an asteroid or was put here by Aliens," says Dr. David Eagleman during a May 31 NPR interview

From: <>
by Dave Masko -- 1st June 2011

At the same time, Eagleman - a neuroscientist who directs the Laboratory of Perception and Action at Baylor College of Medicine in Texas - says "physics tells us there are somewhere between nine and 13 spatial dimensions, so what if there were whole civilizations living between dimensions five and eight?"

New scientific breakthroughs in how the human brain works has promoted Dr. David Eagleman to speak frankly about the idea that aliens "planted life here on Earth." Also, there are dozens of Oregon UFO "watchers" scanning the sky here at Bray's Point along the central Oregon coast who join hundreds of scientists who've pioneered the study of UFOs and alien life under the title "astrobiology." For instance, leading scientists at Cambridge University in England first coined the term "astrobiology" in the landmark report "Planets and Life: The Emerging Science of Astrobiology," that's become a key part of the recently released stash of 8,500 British UFO document that link tens of thousands other UFO documents, and point to lucid accounts of "Greys," to describe extraterrestrial beings that have visited the Earth for thousands of years.

The existence of "Greys" and other aliens is revealed in both the recently released British UFO documents, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) "the Vault" online UFO files.

This story is number 11 in an occasional series of reports about what the secret British UFO files contain, and what new information these documents reveal.
Astrobiology scientists hunting down Greys and other ET beings on Earth

"They move in gangs, and live in nondescript homes and buildings. They are not the 'Greys' but alien beings who've morphed into human form, living here on Earth for thousands of years," states a 1974 Oregon UFO "watcher" essay -- that's viewed by this group of UFO hunters that frequents Bray's Point -- as "our guidance" for searching, and then making contact with alien life.

At the same time scientists have hunted down and identified "exoplanets," that Washington Post national editor Marc Kaufman describes in his new book "First Contact: Scientific Breakthroughs in the Hunt for Life Beyond Earth," as "those mysterious balls in the universe that orbit distant suns not too different from our own."

Kaufman also writes that scientists "have discovered extremophiles, the extraordinary microbes that thrive in the environments of intense heat or cold that mimic the inhospitable conditions of other planets."

Moreover, Kaufman notes that NASA scientists "have landed rovers on Mars and detected it methane, a possible signature of past life."

In turn, these UFO and alien hunters - astrobiologists - are described as a "new generation of out-of-the-box researchers, adventures, and thinkers who are part Carl Sagan, part Indiana Jones, part Watson and Crick, and part forensic specialists on CSI:Mars," writes Kaufman in his best seller about making first contact with aliens now in 2011.

Greys are the common form of extraterrestrial beings from science fiction

While the "look" of "Greys" is promoted on those sensational looking UFO web sites and in ufological, paranormal and in New Age communities - per the name derives from the alien's skin color being grey - brain experts such as Dr. David Eagleman, who heads the Neurobiology and Anatomy department at the University of Texas, thinks the answer to both Greys and other alien life lies inside our human brains.

Also, a composite description of the Greys - from both the British UFO documents and FBI UFO files - stated that the "Greys" are small bodied, sexless beings with smooth grey skin. The ET's have an enlarged head and large eyes.

According to the May 31 interview with Professor Eaglemen - whose written a new book, "Incognito," that examines the unconscious part of our brains -- they really got, a bunch of people in the scientific community really jumped on these two giants of biology for even suggesting that maybe we were planted here by aliens. But you know what? It's a perfectly good hypothesis. I mean we don't know enough to rule that out. It belongs on the table along with all of the rest of them."
The heart of science comes down to the study of alien life on Earth, say experts

"Essentially, this is the heart of science," adds Eagleman of the quest to understand alien life and how the human brain perceives ETs.

"We always come up with hypotheses and we bring evidence in to weigh for or against those hypotheses. And in science, of course, we never even talk about truth or proofs. We talk about where the weight of evidence suggests at the moment, you know, what we think is the best narrative at the moment. And so, you know, there's this illusion that all of us learn in high school where we look in textbooks and science seems to proceed in a linear lockstep manner where so-and-so discovers this and then the next person and so on. But science never proceeds that way. Every major advance in science has been a creative leap where someone says, well, gosh, what this really strange story were true? And then what you do is you make a lot of these leaps and you look back to see if you can build a bridge back to what we already know in science. And when you can that's progress. And when you can't that's an interesting hypothesis that you just file away and you keep. And for myself I, you know, I spend all of my day in the laboratory coming up with hypotheses and the ones that I can't do anything further with scientifically I come home and I write fiction about."

In turn, NPR noted that most people interested in "Astrobiology" read Eagleman's book "Sum," which was a bestseller about a series of scenarios that he created envisioning possible afterlives. "Like if there is an afterlife, what might it be like? And you use your knowledge of consciousness and neuroscience to help create these different vision," he said.

Eagleman's new book, "Incognito", examines the unconscious part of our brains - the complex neural networks that are constantly fighting one another and influencing how we act, the things we're attracted to, and the thoughts that we have.

"All of our lives - our cognition, our thoughts, our beliefs - all of these are underpinned by these massive lightning storms of [electrical] activity [in our brains,] and yet we don't have any awareness of it," Eagleman said during the May 31 NPR interview.

"What we find is that our brains have colossal things happening in them all the time," he adds.
Making "First Contact" is a goal for 2011, say astrobiologists

"First Contact: Scientific Breakthroughs in the Hunt for Life Beyond Earth" by Marc Kaufman, the national editor for The Washington Post, is a recently published book that does not dispute alien life but, instead, fears it.

In turn, there's new promise of cracking the extraterrestrial barrier, writes Kaufman, who points to "prominent scientists from NASA to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, from the Carnegie Institution of Washington to Princeton and Cambridge universities, have decided to ignore the giggle factor associated with UFOs and ET and join the quest."

"In the past 10 years we have found that hundreds of planets orbit distant suns not too different from our own and can reasonably infer that billions more exist," writes Kaufman in his new book "First Contact."

"Put all this together and the unavoidable question becomes whether, at bottom, we're all Martians - quite literally descendants of life from Mars or other planets," adds Kaufman in his First Contact book's chapter "The Biggest Discovery of Them All."

Moreover, the author presents views on what to do when the alien's reveal themselves in mass and either take on the Earth or simply let it be as aliens have been doing for thousands of years.

Peak Oil - Alternative Sources

Fossils From Animals And Plants Are Not Necessary For Crude Oil And Natural Gas, Swedish Researchers Find <>

"There is no doubt that our research proves that crude oil and natural gas are generated without the involvement of fossils. All types of bedrock can serve as reservoirs of oil," says Vladimir Kutcherov. (Credit: Image courtesy of Vetenskapsrådet (The Swedish Research Council))

ScienceDaily (Sep. 12, 2009) - Researchers at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm have managed to prove that fossils from animals and plants are not necessary for crude oil and natural gas to be generated. The findings are revolutionary since this means, on the one hand, that it will be much easier to find these sources of energy and, on the other hand, that they can be found all over the globe.

"Using our research we can even say where oil could be found in Sweden," says Vladimir Kutcherov, a professor at the Division of Energy Technology at KTH. Together with two research colleagues, Vladimir Kutcherov has simulated the process involving pressure and heat that occurs naturally in the inner layers of the earth, the process that generates hydrocarbon, the primary component in oil and natural gas.

According to Vladimir Kutcherov, the findings are a clear indication that the oil supply is not about to end, which researchers and experts in the field have long feared.

He adds that there is no way that fossil oil, with the help of gravity or other forces, could have seeped down to a depth of 10.5 kilometers in the state of Texas, for example, which is rich in oil deposits. As Vladimir Kutcherov sees it, this is further proof, alongside his own research findings, of the genesis of these energy sources - that they can be created in other ways than via fossils. This has long been a matter of lively discussion among scientists.

"There is no doubt that our research proves that crude oil and natural gas are generated without the involvement of fossils. All types of bedrock can serve as reservoirs of oil," says Vladimir Kutcherov, who adds that this is true of land areas that have not yet been prospected for these energy sources.

But the discovery has more benefits. The degree of accuracy in finding oil is enhanced dramatically - from 20 to 70 percent. Since drilling for oil and natural gas is a very expensive process, the cost picture will be radically altered for petroleum companies, and in the end probably for consumers as well. "The savings will be in the many billions," says Vladimir Kutcherov.

To identify where it is worthwhile to drill for natural gas and oil, Vladimir Kutcherov has used his research to arrive at a new method. It involves dividing the globe into a finely meshed grid. The grid corresponds to fissures, so-called 'migration channels,' through underlying layers under the surface of the earth. Wherever these fissures meet, it is suitable to drill.

According to Vladimir Kutcherov, these research findings are extremely important, not least as 61 percent of the world's energy consumption derives from crude oil and natural gas. The next step in this research work will involve more experiments, but above all refining the method will make it easier to find places where it is suitable to drill for oil and natural gas.

'Milking' Microscopic Algae Could Yield Massive Amounts Of Oil

ScienceDaily (June 23, 2009) - Scientists in Canada and India are proposing a surprising new solution to the global energy crisis -"milking" oil from the tiny, single-cell algae known as diatoms, renowned for their intricate, beautifully sculpted shells that resemble fine lacework.

Richard Gordon, T. V. Ramachandra, Durga Madhab Mahapatra, and Karthick Band note that some geologists believe that much of the world's crude oil originated in diatoms, which produce an oily substance in their bodies. Barely one-third of a strand of hair in diameter, diatoms flourish in enormous numbers in oceans and other water sources. They die, drift to the seafloor, and deposit their shells and oil into the sediments. Estimates suggest that live diatoms could make 10?200 times as much oil per acre of cultivated area compared to oil seeds, Gordon says.

"We propose ways of harvesting oil from diatoms, using biochemical engineering and also a new solar panel approach that utilizes genetically modifiable aspects of diatom biology, offering the prospect of "milking" diatoms for sustainable energy by altering them to actively secrete oil products," the scientists say. "Secretion by and milking of diatoms may provide a way around the puzzle of how to make algae that both grow quickly and have a very high oil content."

Massive UFO event in Russia: Crashed flying saucer?

From: <>
By Michael Cohen - 17 March 2011

A UFO event of Roswell proportions has taken place in Russia and is being ignored by Western media. On March 1 in the Irkutsk region of Siberia, a huge object, glowing pink and blue according to some accounts, was seen by thousands of locals as it hurtled towards Earth. An enormous explosion was then heard over a wide area. Curious and frightened residents inundated various police and rescue departments with phone calls. The military soon confirmed that it had not been doing any exercises in the area and therefore cannot be responsible for any reports of UFOs.

One villager, Mr Sergei Ivanov, described what he saw: "It did not look like an aircraft, more like a UFO or some other unexplained object".

Soon a large array of officials inundated the area: Army chiefs, Air Defense personnel, Ministry of Defense officials, heads of police, Emergency Ministry staff, geophysicists, avionics experts and members of the secret service.

These officials made their way towards site of the alleged crash, declared the event classified and announced to the media that the specific area of impact would not be revealed.

Meanwhile a sizable number of journalists arrived in the region and fanned out to the area's various settlements in search of witnesses: And they found them in the hundreds. Some locals blamed the event on a alien UFO base said to exist beneath Lake Baikal. Others talked of intense UFO activity leading up up the event.

The head of a primary school in the town of Vasilevka recounted how she saw a giant pyramid shaped UFO in the skies above the area in June 2010. The mayor of the village of Bayanday, Anatoly Tabinaev, talked of a giant flying saucer that shot a ray of light onto the ground near his house. Another group of residents talked about an odd object that "crashed" near the village leaving behind only mysterious footprints.

Only hours prior to this event, air-traffic controllers in Yakutks, Siberia claim to have picked up a UFO on radar travelling at 6000 mph at a height of 65000. When they tried to speak with the crew of that craft they heard bizarre cat noises <> being uttered to them. Are these two events connected? Was this the craft that crashed later that day? And finally: Did the craft actually crash at all or was this just a noisy landing?

The video below shows some footage taken of the event.

Scientists teleport Schrodinger's Cat

By Carl Holm for ABC Science Online
Updated Fri Apr 15, 2011

The experiments were conducted on a machine known as "the teleporter" in the laboratory of Professor Akira Furusawa in the Department of Applied Physics in the University of Tokyo. (University of Tokyo )

Researchers from Australia and Japan have successfully teleported wave packets of light, potentially revolutionising quantum communications and computing.
The team, led by researchers at the University of Tokyo, say this is the first-ever teleportation, or transfer, of a particular complex set of quantum information from one point to another.
They say it will make possible high-speed, high-fidelity transmission of large volumes of information, such as quantum encryption keys, via communications networks. The research appears today in the journal 'Science'.
Professor Elanor Huntington, of the School of Engineering and Information Technology at UNSW's Canberra campus, explains that teleportation - the transfer of quantum information from one location to another using normal, "classical" communications - is a fundamental quantum communication technique.
"It relies on having two things," she said.
"One is the normal fibre-optic internet or even copper cables, and the other is a shared resource between the sender and the receiver, that could have been shared at any time in the past: we call that entanglement."
Professor Huntington says the idea of quantum teleportation has been around for about 10 years, but has been difficult to put into practice.
"There used to be two ways of doing teleportation and both had their limitations," she said.
"One was quite fast, but had a limited probability of succeeding. The other way of doing it was quite slow, but had a very good probability of working.
"What we've done is managed to get it both fast and good quality."
Schrodinger's cat comes back
They did it by teleporting the wave packets of light in a "Schrodinger's cat" state.
In Schrodinger's famous thought experiment of the 1930s, a cat would be placed in a sealed box with a device containing atomic material.
A Geiger counter was included to measure radiation if at some point an atom decayed. Should that happen, the Geiger counter would trigger the release of cyanide gas, which would kill the cat.
The idea was that it was impossible to know whether or not the cat was alive or dead without opening the box and observing it, and that until that happened, both realities existed. This became known as superposition.
Schrodinger is said to have devised the experiment to ridicule the emerging theories of quantum physics, but since then physicists have found many examples of superposition in the quantum world.
"What was funky about Schrodinger's idea was that you could take a normal macroscopic object, which we all think we know and understand fairly well, and you could put it into a quantum superposition - and that's kind of weird," Professor Huntington said.
"Nowadays any kind of system where you do that is known as a Schrodinger's cat.
"So in our case what we've done is take a macroscopic beam of light and put it into a quantum superposition, which is extremely fragile, and teleported that from one place to another.
"One of the ways that we encode digital information is by its phase, so what we've done is created a wave packet that's simultaneously a one and a zero in its phase."
"Superposition is exactly what underlies the power of things like quantum computers. You enable parallel processing because at the same time it's a one and a zero. The point is, we've managed to teleport it from A to B without the one and the zero getting confused."
Professor Huntington says being able to demonstrate this will enable researchers to take the next step in quantum computing.
"[Being able to transfer data packets] is a necessary thing to do in order to build a proper quantum computer or a quantum communications device," she said.

EU bans herbal remedies: another victory for corporate interests

By Daniel Hannan Politics Last updated: December 2010

Daniel Hannan
Daniel Hannan is a writer and journalist, and has been Conservative MEP for South East England since 1999. He speaks French and Spanish and loves Europe, but believes that the European Union is making its constituent nations poorer, less democratic and less free.

When the EU does something truly unpopular, it usually builds in a delay. Eurocrats know that national ministers are likelier to agree to measures which will blow up in the laps of their successors. Thus the restrictions on natural and alternative medicines, which were passed in 2004, will hit herbalists' shelves in April.

The Independent reports that hundreds of traditional plant remedies are under threat, including Meadowsweet, Cascara Bark and Pau D'Arco. Some products will be proscribed outright; others subjected to a prohibitively expensive licensing regime.
Why is the EU criminalising a harmless activity pursued by 20 million Europeans? I say "harmless" advisedly: many of my constituents are convinced of the benign effects of herbal, homeopathic, ayuvedic and Chinese medicines; others think the whole thing is a load of cobblers. For what it's worth, the love of my life is in the former category and, as the author of Proverbs wisely observes, "better a dinner of herbs where love is than a stalled ox and hatred therewith" (rarely could the bit about the herbs have applied so appositely). Anyway, whoever is right, these bits of bark and sap and leaf are plainly not detrimental to human health. If they were, I think we'd know about it by now. So what the devil is Brussels playing at?

Three factors are in play. First, Eurocrats love regulating things. The argument that you should leave well alone - that herbalists have no interest in poisoning their customers, that the presumption of innocence should apply in this as in any other case, that the trade has flourished for centuries without state oversight - is anathema to them. To the EU official, "unlicensed" is synonymous with "illegal".

Second, the EU has fallen for that modern idiocy known as "the precautionary principle". As I wrote when this ban was first mooted, you can't prove a negative. At the beginning of the nineteenth century, it was widely believed that the noise of a passing train would cause a pregnant woman to miscarry. Had we applied "the precautionary principle", we would never have laid a single inch of track. After all, the rail operators of the day couldn't prove that they wouldn't cause miscarriages, any more than today's health stores can prove that their wares are not toxic.
Third, and most important, the ban suits the big pharmaceutical corporations, who lobbied openly and enthusiastically for its adoption. The large chains will be able to afford the compliance costs. Smaller herbalists will not, and many will go out of business, leaving the mega-firms with something close to a monopoly.

Here's the thing, though. Such a ban would never have got through the national legislatures. MPs would have been deluged, as MEPs were, by letters from thousands of constituents who felt that their health was being imperilled. In a national parliament, this would almost certainly have been enough to block the proposal; but the EU was designed more or less explicitly to withstand public opinion. Lobbyists understood from the outset that their best chance was to push through in Brussels what no democratic parliament would accept. See, once again, how the EU has become a mechanism for the advancement of corporate interests in defiance of the common weal.

The Fukashima Meltdown

Hanging by your Fingernails - The Fukushima Meltdown
By Michio Kaku <> -- April 4, 2011
From: <>

The situation at Fukushima is relatively stable now, in the same way that you are stable if you hang by your fingernails off a cliff, and your fingernails begin to break one by one....

As we mentioned, the accident so far in Fukushima is progressing in three acts. The first act was the earthquake and tsunami, which immediately wiped out all emergency cooling systems simultaneously at all three reactors and all hell has broken loose.

Act II was the enormous damage done to the cores of these three reactors. With the loss of cooling water, temperatures began to rise rapidly, causing the hydrogen gas explosions and fuel melting. We know that about 70% of Unit 1's core was damaged, and that 33% of Unit 2's core was also damaged. All computer simulations done by various laboratories all show the same thing, that we came perilously close to a full scale metldown at all three reactors, including a spent fuel pond accident in Unit 4.

Against the wishes the utility, the Japanese government ordered flushing the entire reactors with seawater, which temporarily halted the accident from progressing to a full blown tragedy. This stabilized the accident, at present, from going into free fall (but reduced the three reactors to pieces of junk.) Meanwhile, radiation keeps flowing out of the reactors and into food, agricultural products, the oceans, the soil, etc. Now we are entering Act III. With the cores covered with seawater and fresh water, the workers are desperately trying to hit rock bottom, so they can begin recovery operations.

Unfortunately, they have not yet bottom. Its like death from a thousand cuts. Leaks of radiation are being found everywhere. The crucial thing is that the workers do not know precisely where this radiation is coming from. The primary suspect is that there is a direct contact between melted uranium (called "corium") and the cooling water, probably caused by a pipe break or, more ominously, a pressure vessel that has completely melted through.

So the utility is like the little Dutch boy, trying desperately to plug up one leak, only to find another. But until they find the primary source of this leak, there will be damaging reports of radiation being found in more and more places. Time is not on their side. The longer they take to hit rock bottom, the more the danger of evacuations of workers and damage to the economy of the area. Also, secondary earthquakes and pipe breaks can cause the accident to start up all over again with the loss of precious cooling water. It's also a Catch 22 situation. They need to flood the cores with water, but this water becomes contaminated and flows out to the environment. So they are damned if they do, and damned if they don't.

One solution is to put a special TV camera into the contaminated water to actually photograph the bottom of the reactor vessel, which is underwater, to see precislely the nature of this leak, whether its just a simple crack or a full blown melt-through of the reactor pressure vessel. If its just a crack, then it might be possible to drain the water and then weld the crack shut. But if it is a melt through, then it is much harder to seal up the hole. Either way, robots or suicide squads of workers will be necessary to seal up the leak. In best case scenario, the situation continues on for months and years. At TMI, it took years before a camera was finally able go underwater to photograph the state of the core. There, the reactor vessel was not damaged. But at Fukushima, it is likely that the pressure vessel is cracked or partially melted through, which makes clean up much more difficult. Workers have a long, long way to go. For example, although electricity was been brought onto the site, a great disappointment is that the pumps cannot be turned on, because they are broken, or there is too much hydrogen gas, or it is too radioactive to make repairs. Until the pumps are turned on, workers have to use the Stone Age method of using fire men to shoot hose water into the reactor. (This is a problem if radiation levels continue to rise due to the failue to find the leak in the reactor.)

I get a headache just thinking of all the measures that have to be taken just to reach rock bottom and then begin clean up operators. Meanwhile, the clock is ticking. Let's hope there are no more secondary earthquakes, or pipe breaks, or full scale evacuations of workers, which could start up the nightmare all over again.

Lets hope no more fingernails crack.

Why is Japan dumping radioactive water into the ocean? (April 4, 2011) <>

(...) The problem now is that TEPCO does not have enough storage tank capacity at the site in which to store contaminated water. That is why the Japanese government Monday authorized Fukushima workers to release 10,000 tons of wastewater containing low-level radioactivity directly into the sea.Dumping this water should free up space for TEPCO to pump highly contaminated water out of reactor No. 2's basement and tunnels, potentially putting an end to the leakage problem. "The fact that they're encountering ... these large sources of contaminated water - and still are unable to say exactly where it's coming from - is troubling," said Edward Lyman, a senior scientist in the Global Security Program at the Union of Concerned Scientists, in a briefing for reporters late last week.Treating radioactive water - if contained - is easy enough, noted Dr. Lyman. Reprocessing plants could boil off pure water, concentrating the radioactivity into a denser waste solution. Filters can also remove some contaminants.
(...) The Japanese government said it is becoming increasingly concerned about the amount of radioactivity that has already leached into surrounding waters.Japan's Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency says the disposal of the low-level waste is an emergency measure and that it will increase monitoring of water and sea life in the surrounding area to ensure levels of radioactive iodine do not spike too high."Even if they say the contamination will be diluted in the ocean, the longer this continues, the more radioactive particles will be released and the greater the impact on the ocean," said Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano at a press conference. "We are strongly urging TEPCO that they have to take immediate action to deal with this."

Fukushima Daiichi Radioactive Seawater Model, Spent Fuel Rods DID Explode Into Atmosphere (April 6th, 2011) <>

ASR Limited, a marine consulting and research firm has released a radioactive seawater model <> that seems to confirm that radiation will spread throughout the pacific ocean. Remember, US and Japanese officials have gone on the record with their belief that radiation in the Pacific will not hurt sea life. "On Monday, TEPCO began discharging 11,500 tons of contaminated water into the surrounding water - a serious development in the ongoing containment issues and release of radioactive material at TEPCO's Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Plant," wrote ASR Limited in an article released Tuesday.Meanwhile, a confidential document released by The New York Times has confirmed multiple aspects of this disaster that we reported from the beginning. "Perhaps the worse news is confirmation that radioactive fragments and particles, including the deadly Plutonium "MOX" fuel, has been shot high into the atmosphere during the hydrogen explosions," wrote Alexander Higgins, a blogger and frequent Intel Hub Contributor. A quick rundown of the problems that are now admitted confirms what some in the alternative media have reported from the beginning. CLIP

A slow, agonizing death... <>

Ace Hoffman's Nuclear News Blog for April 5th, 2011
(...) There are radioactive "hot spots" all over the reactor site. And why are they dumping 350,000 barrels of radioactive water into the oceans when an empty tanker could have been brought nearby during the past few weeks, and the water could have been put there and held for decades or filtered of large particles and left long enough to let the fast-decaying products emit their deadly particles and rays, before releasing to the oceans? An old tanker wouldn't cost all that much! Of course, then they'd need another... and another... and another...
(...) We need to all pull together on this. Improving safety won't be good enough. Oh sure, it's a good idea. But it won't suffice. Shut-down might not even suffice, but it's much, much more likely to keep us all safe. The odds are currently approximately 100% that this will happen again and again. The arrogance of the pro-nuclear side right now, less than a month into this tragedy, proves it. It doesn't require an earthquake plus a tsunami plus poor design plus the arrogant indifference of key people on the ends of the phone lines. All those are just the triggers THIS time. Davis Besse almost melted down in 2002 without any of THOSE triggers, it was just an overlooked leak that went on for a surprisingly short amount of time, which almost cost America half of Ohio. (Maybe more. There is an incredible amount of spent fuel stored there, as at every reactor.) What it really takes for a meltdown is just public indifference. If the plant near you isn't shut down, then it will melt down sooner or later. Might it make it to the end of its license? NO! Because its license WILL BE EXTENDED. There is a 100% track record on license extensions so far. These plants won't be shut down by their operators. They won't be shut down by the regulators. If there is one "lesson to be learned" that we can all take away already, it's that the nuclear power plant operators will stop at NOTHING short of meltdown. Consider that dozens of exactly-similar nuclear reactors to the ones in Fukushima, in at least as dangerous and as populated areas, are still operating 24/7 all around the world, it's obvious that the next reactor to be shut down permanently will probably do so of its own accord, on its own schedule, whenever it pleases. Damned reactors.

GREENPEACE Measures EXTREME RADIATION 40 Km From Fukushima - Why No Evacuation? <>

Maximum Annual Dose In Few Days!Regardless of what anyone thinks about GreenPeace and their stance on fraudulent man made warning, this video clearly shows that levels at least 40km from the plant are EXTREMELY high!People NEED to be evacuated from the area. The Japanese government is involved in a CRIMINAL cover up that possibly extends to the IAEA and various other governments who are openly lying about the situation. Check also...
Greenpeace radiation team pinpoints need to extend Fukushima evacuation zone <>
Need to protect pregnant women and children - Press release - March 27, 2011
Greenpeace radiation experts have confirmed radiation levels of up to ten micro Sieverts per hour (1) in Iitate village, 40km northwest of the crisis-stricken Fukushima/Daiichi nuclear plant, and 20km (2) beyond the official evacuation zone. These levels are high enough to require evacuation. "The Japanese authorities are fully aware (3) that high levels of radiation from the stricken Fukushima nuclear plant have spread far beyond the official evacuation zone to places like Iitate, yet are still not taking action to properly protect people or keep them informed them about the risks to their health", said Greenpeace radiation safety expert Jan van de Putte. "It is clearly not safe for people to remain in Iitate, especially children and pregnant women, when it could mean receiving the maximum allowed annual dose of radiation in only a few days. When further contamination from possible ingestion or inhalation of radioactive particles is factored in, the risks are even higher." "The authorities must stop choosing politics over science and determine evacuation zones around the Fukushima nuclear plant that reflect the radiation levels being found in the environment. In addition to coming clean on the true dangers of the current nuclear crisis, the smartest move for Japan and governments around the world is heavily invest in energy efficiency, and redouble their efforts to harness safe and secure renewable energy sources."

Japan Nuclear Radiation 4 Times Chernobyl Levels OUTSIDE Evacuation Zone (9 April 2011) <>
Independent scientists find radiation levels beyond Japan evacuation zone are 4 times higher than Chernobyl levels beyond the 30km evacuation zone and higher than official government reported numbers. The Japanese New Service Asashi reports that radiation levels measured by a collaboration of independent scientists from Kyoto University and Hiroshima university refute the official radiation levels released by the Government of Japan. Radiation levels 400 times normal are expected to remain in communities beyond the 30km evacuation zone. The scientists pointed out the official Government radiation levels included only two types of radioactive isotopes. Scientists from the university say they have detected 6 radioactive isotopes and have provided new estimates with showing higher levels of radiation being released based on the inclusion of the additional isotopes detected. Selenium Detoxifies the body of Toxic Mercury and Reverses Aging

Monday, April 04, 2011 by: Ethan A. Huff, staff writer

(NaturalNews) A recent study published in the journal Neurotoxicology says that the essential element selenium effectively scours the body of toxic mercury buildup and mitigates its neurotoxic effects. Selenium also visibly helps to improve mobility and athletic ability as the body ages, according to the research.

Conducted by a team of scientists from Auburn University (AU), the study adds to the growing body of evidence proving the severe toxic effects of mercury in the body, which include sensory and motor deficits and neurological damage. It also highlights some new findings about its health-promoting benefits.

The team included 0.06 or 0.6 ppm of selenium as part of the test mice's diets, and after 100 days, researchers introduced varying levels of methylmercury (MeHg), ranging from 0.0 to 15 ppm, into their drinking water for 16 months. At the end of the study period, researchers tested the mice for somatosensory sensitivity, grip strength, hindlimb cross (clasping reflex), flexion, and voluntary wheel-running, and observed in every category a clear dose- and time-dependent impairment caused by the mercury exposure and buildup.

"Selenium (Se), an essential nutrient, both increases deposition of mercury (Hg) in neurons and mitigates some of MeHg's neurotoxicity ... (and) significantly delayed or blunted MeHg's effects," wrote researchers in their paper. "Selenium also increased running in unexposed animals as they aged, a novel finding that may have important clinical implications."

"Together, these results quantify the neurotoxicity of long-term MeHg exposure, support the safety and efficacy of Se in ameliorating MeHg's neurotoxicity, and demonstrate the potential benefits of Se during aging."

Foods naturally rich in selenium include brazil nuts -- which contain up to 90 micrograms (mcg) of selenium per nut, and one of the highest known sources -- as well as salmon, sardines, turkey, calf's liver, and tuna. There are also whole-food supplements high in natural selenium, including MegaFood Selenium (

Rosemary Found to Offer Best Protection against Radiation Poisoning Rosemary Found to Offer Best Protection against Radiation Poisoning

Monday, April 20, 2009 by: Barbara L. Minton

(NaturalNews) The U.S. is turning into radiation nation. In the twenty-three years since Chernobyl, Americans seem to have forgotten the impact of radiation on health. Swept up in the euphoria over an endless parade of wireless devices, we have turned our backs on the common sense that informed us that Chernobyl was a really big deal when we heard the news. Today Americans act as though they are addicted to radiation and completely oblivious of the jack-hammering effect it has on human cells. They appear willing to accept cancer and even death as small prices to pay for the ability to communicate with anyone, anywhere, anytime. As the nation eagerly anticipates the rollout of WiMAX, promising bone-incinerating coverage of 3,000 square miles from a single tower, those who object find they have no voice and no choice. However, recent research has shown there are steps to take in self-preservation. Carnosic and rosmarinic acids naturally deter radiation poisoning.
RF/microwave exposure leads to cancer development

It has been know for a decade that RF/microwaves from cell phones and tower transmitters cause damage in human blood cells that results in nuclei splintering off into micronuclei fragments. The development of micronuclei heralds the development of pre-cancerous conditions. Many victims of Chernobyl developed blood cell micronuclei that rapidly turned into full blown cancers.

Numerous animal studies have demonstrated that mobile phone radiation quickly causes DNA single and double strand breaks at levels well below the current federal "safe" standards. A six-year industry study showed that human blood exposure to cell phone radiation had a 300 percent increase in genetic damage in the form of micronuclei, suggesting a health threat much greater than smoking or asbestos.

Compounds from Rosemary fight against mutagenic effects of radiation

In two separate studies, scientists in Spain found that nothing fights radiation damage to micronuclei like a simple garden herb known as rosemary. They noted that ionizing radiation causes the massive generation of free radicals that induce cellular DNA damage. They studied the protective effects of several compounds against gamma ray induced chromosomal damage in micronuclei testing by adding various compounds to human blood before and after irradiation. When the compounds were added after gamma-irradiation treatment, the protective effects relied not on scavenging ability, but on activity against free radicals already present in the cells, such as lipoperoxy radicals which are mainly responsible for continuous chromosomal oxidative damage.

The fact that carnosic acid and carnosol found in rosemary are fat soluble allows them to provide highly asignificant protective anti-mutagenic activity. Even the most powerful water-soluble antioxidants lack the capacity to protect against gamma ray induced damage. This study can be found in the
British Journal of Radiology, February 2 edition.

In their second study, the generation of radiation induced cellular DNA damage to skin from free radicals was the focus. The researchers sought to demonstrate that rosmarinic acid from rosemary would act as a photo-protector both by acting as a scavenger of free radicals and as an inducer of the body's own endogenous defense mechanisms by regulating tyrosinase activity and stimulating melanin production. They found that formulation of toxic malonyldialdehyde was delayed by the use of rosmarinic acid, and the protection factor was 3.34 times greater than for other compounds studied, as measured in micronucleus testing. In vivo testing showed the capacity of orally administered rosmarinic acid to inhibit skin alterations as a result of UV radiation exposure. This study was reported in the February edition of
Food and Chemical Toxicology.

Common food compound protects lymphocytes against radiation

In a study from India, scientists investigated the radio-protective potential of caffeic acid against gamma radiation-induced cellular changes. A dose of 66 microM of caffeic acid showed the optimum protection of micronuclei and was used to investigate the radio-protective effects of the compound. Lymphocytes were pre-incubated with caffeic acid and controls were not. All the lymphocytes were exposed to different doses of radiation. Genetic damage and biochemical changes were measured. Gamma irradiated control lymphocytes showed a radiation dose-dependent increase in genetic damage and a significant decrease in antioxidant status. Caffeic acid pretreated lymphocytes positively modulated all radiation induced changes. This study is found in the 2008
Journal of Biochemical and Molecular Toxicology.

Food sources offering significant amounts of caffeic acid are apples, citrus fruits, and cruciferous vegetables.
RF/microwave radiation has the same effect on health as gamma rays

A pile of research has confirmed that non-ionizing communications radiation in the RF/microwave spectrum has the same effect on human health as ionizing gamma wave radiation from nuclear reactions. This means that Chernobyl has effectively come to America. Injuries resulting from radioactive radiation are identical with the effects of electromagnetic radiation. In the U.S., deadly high frequency radiation is now blasting from tens of thousands of cell towers and rooftop antennas all over the country. The tiny city of San Francisco, has over 2,500 licensed cell phone antennas positioned at 530 locations to nuke its citizens around the clock.

There is no safe dose of radiation

RF/microwave and gamma waves are identical in their abilities to produce gene damage and cancer at the cellular level, and there is no safe dose of either. Cell damage is not dependent on a certain level of exposure because at any time in that exposure, breaks in DNA can occur.

Communication antennas saturate the environment with multiple electromagnetic frequencies simultaneously. The response to this endless cellular jiggling is graphically described by Amy Worthington in her article on the radiation poisoning of America. "Human DNA hears this energetic cacophony loud and clear, reacting like the human ear would to high volume country music, R&B plus rock and roll screaming from the same speaker simultaneously. Irradiated cells struggle to protect themselves against the destructive dissonance by hardening their membranes. They cease to receive nourishment, stop releasing toxins, die prematurely and spill micronuclei fragments into a sort of tumor bank account." According to an expert quoted in her article, 2000 hours of cellular phone exposure, or a latency period of about 10 years, increases the risk of brain cancer by 240 percent.

Many studies have shown that workers exposed to RF/microwave radiation routinely have inflated cancer rates, and the latency period between exposure and disease development is short. Some suspect that communications carriers exceed FCC exposure limits. Once equipment is installed and inspections are completed, it can be cranked up to create wider coverage. The FCC has sole regulatory authority over the communications industry, but has neither the money nor the employees to conduct verification testing. Even if they could do the monitoring, their guidelines are obsolete based on current scientific findings that have shown damage to human cells occurs at levels thousands of times lower than current standards permit. In other countries the allowed exposure levels are much less. Russia's standards are 100 times more stringent than those in the U.S., because their scientists have found that human hearts, kidneys, livers and brains are damaged at much lower exposure levels.

When is comes to protecting against radiation, we are on our own
Since the beginning of the wireless revolution, there have been no federally funded studies to determine the impact of constantly escalating levels of radiation on public health. Most people remain blissfully unaware of their proximity to towers and transmitters. They are also unaware of their levels of exposure in their workplaces where wireless transmitters may be located just a few feet away from them.

Some of the symptoms of overexposure to radiation are heart palpitations, diminishing hearing ability, headaches, sleep disturbance, chronic fatigue, endocrine problems, short term memory difficulties, sleep disturbance, chronic fatigue, frequent infections, reproductive issues, and reduced cognitive ability and information processing difficulties. The development of tumors and cancer is one big indication that something is radically wrong, and that
something may be radiation poisoning.

What is a person to do about these symptoms? Right now it looks like the best defense against radiation poisoning is the same as the best defense against all diseases. This defense begins with diet and supplements. Eating a diet high in apples, citrus fruits, cruciferous vegetables, drinking red wine, and using fresh rosemary have been scientifically shown to be effective. Supplements of rosemary extract containing carnosic and rosmarinic acids are widely available. Supplements of DIM offer higher doses of one of the most potent compounds in cruciferous vegetables. Broccoli sprouts are the best source of sulphoraphane, another highly potent compound in cruciferous vegetables. Broccoli sprouts are available as supplements too. Making a pitcher of fresh vegetable juice several times a week for all family members to drink is a great way to fortify everyone against an environment that has turned against them. The juice should contain high amounts of broccoli, cabbage or other cruciferous vegetables. Adding a small slice of fresh ginger will give the juice an appealing flavor. Use only organic or fresh locally grown vegetables if they are available.

Although it may not seem like it, living without the use of wireless devices is possible. Until giant steps are taken in that direction, demanding that wireless emissions from transmitters be drastically reduced is fairly pointless. Demanding the government conduct routine compliance testing at all transmission sites and update federal radiation exposure standards is something that can be done right now.

We can break our radiation addition by giving up wireless internet systems and cell phone calls. Once knowledge is instilled about the devastating health consequences of wireless, it may no longer be fun to play wireless games and chatter on the phone while driving or shopping. If people do not buy WiMAX devices and their related services, the increased brutal bombardment of radiation it promises will be derailed.

OSHA standards say that no environment should be deliberately made hazardous. Armed with the knowledge of what radiation does to human cells, people can refuse to work or shop in environments that endanger their health. They can demand that wireless devices be removed from their children's schools and from their work and entertainment places.

As a nation we bought into the advertisement that cell phones were necessary for an emergency. Yet the emergency happening now
is the cell phone. What we thought would keep ourselves and our families safe now threatens to kill us. A look at our teenagers shows that convenience has been replaced by addiction. These teens rarely talk directly to each other, preferring endless communication through text messaging that is already producing teens with carpal tunnel syndrome. It really doesn't have to be this way.

If we as a people are unable to break away from radiation addiction, Mother Nature will take control of the situation. Those lucky enough to adapt to radiation nation will survive and reproduce. Those who cannot keep up genetically will end up like the dinosaurs.

Bee deaths may signal wider Pollination Threat: UN.

11 March 2011
Alister Doyle, Environment Correspondent

Mass deaths of bee colonies in many parts of the world may be part of a wider, hidden threat to wild insect pollinators vital to human food supplies, a U.N. study indicated on Thursday.
Declines in flowering plants, a spread of parasites, use of pesticides or air pollution were among more than a dozen factors behind recent collapses of bee colonies mainly in North America and Europe, the U.N. Environment Programme (UNEP) said.
That cocktail of problems -- rather than a single cause killing bees in hives that might be easier to fix -- may also threaten wild bees and other insects vital to pollinate crops such as soybeans, potatoes or apple trees.
"It's the tip of the iceberg we're seeing with the honey bees," Peter Neumann, a lead author of the study of "global honey bee colony disorders and other threats to insect pollinators," told Reuters.
"There is not an immediate pollination disaster but the writing is on the wall," said Neumann, of the Swiss Bee Research Center. "We have to do something to ensure pollination for future generations."
The study said there were also reports of bee colony collapses in China, Egypt and Latin America.
"There are some indicators that it is becoming a global issue," he said in a telephone interview.

Bees and other pollinators such as butterflies, beetles or birds are estimated to do work worth 153 billion Euros ($212.3 billion) a year to the human economy -- about 9.5 percent of the total value of human food production, it said.
Recent estimates of the contribution by managed species, mainly honey bees, range up to 57 billion Euros. In the United States, over two million bee colonies are trucked around the nation to help pollination every year.
"Of the 100 crop species that provide 90 per cent of the world's food, over 70 are pollinated by bees," Achim Steiner, head of UNEP, said in a statement.
"Human beings have fabricated the illusion that in the 21st century they have the technological prowess to be independent of nature. Bees underline the reality that we are more, not less, dependent on nature's services in a world of close to seven billion people," he said.
The report urged a shift toward ecological farming, less dependent on insecticides and more resilient to threats such as climate change. Food prices have hit record levels and are one factor behind uprisings in Egypt or Tunisia.
UNEP said farmers could be given incentives to set aside land to "restore pollinator-friendly habitats, including key flowering plants" as part of a shift to a "Green Economy."
Neumann also urged more research into insects, noting that charismatic animals such as polar bears won most attention as victims of global warming. "Insects are usually not cute but they are the backbone of ecosystems," he said.

Crystal skull by SS Chief Himmler discovered in Bavaria!

Basel (Switzerland), March 2011
Sensational discovery in Germany: the Swiss magazine MYSTERIES ( ) reveals exclusively in its latest issue (March/April 2011) that a crystal skull surfaced recently in Bavaria – from the personal belongings of SS Chief Heinrich Himmler! This splendid piece weighs 9.2 kilos and was discovered together with a top secret, three-page “inventory list” of the SS Reichssicherheitshauptamt dated April 1945.
In addition to the mysterious crystal skull from South America, this yellowed original document lists such famous artworks as a “centre panel of the Altarpiece of Ghent” in Belgium, Egyptian artefacts believed to have been lost, and secret documents of the German “super weapon expert” General Hans Kammler, which are said to have been transported shortly before the War ended by SS Hunter Battalions from Augsburg to Strakonitz, a town in southern Bohemia.
Even the infamous pot made of gold from Lake Chiemsee that had been discovered in Bavaria in 2001 and later secretly sold by the Bavarian Finance Ministry for 160,000 Euros as “non-NS asset” to the Munich lawyer, Herbert Scholz, is expressly stated in this Nazi list just like some personal treasure trunks of Adolf Hitler.
MYSTERIES editor-in-chief, Luc Bürgin (40), who personally held the skull and the documents in his hands and was able to inspect them, says “if this SS parchment is real despite all scepticism – and all points in this direction presently – then we are dealing with one of the historically hottest German treasure lists that survived the end of World War II!”
In addition to pictures of the skull and images of this “inventory list” the magazine publishes in its current issue the secret files, which have been missing for decades, about the devastating dioxin disaster in the Italian town of Seveso (1976).
Moreover MYSTERIES presents a controversial video from the Egyptian National Museum in Cairo, the valuable artworks which are uninsured to this day. ( watch?v=TYxN16fILSE) These never published amateur recordings show how negligently the Egyptian cultural authority is handling the invaluable gold mask of Pharaoh Tutankhamen to this day.

Milkweed Sap cures common Skin Cancers Milkweed Sap cures common Skin Cancers

Tuesday, February 15, 2011 by: S. L. Baker, features writer
(NaturalNews) If you talk about herbs, plants and other totally natural substances having the potential to actually cure cancer, odds are you'll be greeted with eye-rolling and disbelief -- especially from the mainstream medical establishment. But research just published in the Journal of British Dermatology provides compelling evidence that the sap from a common weed known as milkweed or petty surge can literally cure certain types of cancers.

Although regarded as a nuisance weed by most gardeners, the plant (whose botanical name is Euphorbia peplus) has been valued for centuries in many folk medicine traditions as a treatment for asthma, warts and several types of cancer. Now a group of Australian scientists from a number of medical institutions in Brisbane have tested milkweed sap on humans and found that it works remarkably well on non-melanoma skin cancers. The researchers believe the plant substance is effective due to a compound it contains called ingenol mebutate which destroys cancer cells.

Non-melanoma skin cancers, which affect hundreds of thousands of people world-wide, are rarely fatal. However, they can be disfiguring without treatment -- which can involve extensive and repeated surgery. These malignant lesions usually appear on the areas of the body most often exposed to the sun, including the head, neck, ears, and back of the hands.

For the new study, the researchers recruited 36 patients with a total of 48 non-melanoma lesions included basal cell carcinomas (BCC), squamous cell carcinomas (SCC) and intraepidermal carcinomas (IEC), a growth of cancerous cells confined to the outer layer of the skin. Some of these people had skin cancers that had failed to respond to conventional treatment including surgery. The rest had refused surgery or had been told surgery was not an option for them due to advanced age.

The research participants were treated once a day for three consecutive days by an oncologist who used a cotton applicator to simply cover the surface of each cancerous lesion with milkweed sap. One month later, 41 out of 48 cancers had complete disappeared.

Patients who had some of lesions remaining after four weeks were given a second course of milkweed sap treatment. And about 15 months following treatment, two thirds of all the 48 skin cancer lesions were still showing a complete cure. The final outcome was a 75 per cent total response for IEC lesions, 57 per cent for BCC and 50 per cent for SCC lesions. What's more, when the lesions disappeared, the skin was left soft and clear.
